i stumbled across some YT videos that suggest capital economy works in cycle and this century will be an approximate reflection of the last.

that 2012-2020s america will see a new Great Depression the likes of the 1920s.

what i do notice is that Americans are a heck of a lot big spenders of money they never had in the first place than they were a generation ago and to add to that, because of the nearing 20% unemployment rate and overall recession, spoiled shoppers are now facing zero (or perhap more likely way negative) spending power and on top of it scrambling to evade collectors or file most of their piled up debts under Bankruptcy and to pay bills still slowed after their bankruptness.

is it really that GRIM?

We have only been doing what we were taught to do.
That is what we learned in school and this is what our leaders taught us.

The problem now, the students are realizing that the teachers and leaders were wrong and/or lying to us.

There was no depression in the 1920s. Ever heard of the roaring 20s?

Much like Elenin this is an example of Conspiracy Theorists listening to what other dimwits on youtube have to say instead of checking on material themselves.

Yes, technically 1929, but I agree with Camero, I really don't see us having to wait 9 years, Unless we continue to get worse for 9 years. That's a scary thought!

It all depends on how long the TPTB can milk the situation for as much time as they can.

The clock is ticking and the alarm IS going to go off.

At the beginning of the 20's shortly after the return of hundreds of thousands of doughboys from Europe there was an incredible period of deflation. The Secretary of Treasury at the time, a man named Hoover, advised the President to backstop institutions that gambled and lost. That President refused, people and businesses went bust, but the system cleared within 24 months and set off a pretty decent run of prosperity. That Sec Treasury would later become President and when his crisis came, he proceeded to try to keep the "virtuous cycle" from bankrupting his bankster compatriots. Hoover is remembered by history as the President at the start of the Great Depression.

We should have allowed those that should have failed to fail in 2008-09. We didn't the contraction in the economy that we face is worse now.

The Depression was in the Thirties, not the Twenties. That was just the practice run for this one, orchestrated by the same cabal.

But, we are ALREADY in a worse depression than then, and it is going to get a lot worse. Back then, there was 20 percent unemployment, and about 25 percent of the people lived on farms and so didn't really need money. This time, unemployment is already over 20 percent in real terms, and no one lives on the farm anymore, so cannot even eat without money. And it's just beginning.

Get ready for war, famine, and pestilence. Not religious, just realistic.

I really hope this doesn’t come to pass. Things during the Great Depression were much worse than we can imagine, even in this crippled economy. I read on Shmoop that the future of America looked so hopeless by 1933 that over a 100.000 Americans tried to migrate to the Soviet Union in pursuit of a better life.
