Sounds like he has a really good handle on what's going on. More people like him need to speak up rather than just post on forums.edit on 17-10-2011 by Evolutionsend because: (no reason given)

It helps. Any time we get the chance to be heard, it helps. Besides, most ATSers are pretty cool, and get the reason why people should have a voice on the streets. Just because CNN reports something doesn't make it true. I've seen the truth. I've talked with thousands, literally, thousands of people in different occupy camps around California. Does everyone have the same political ideology? no certainly not. There's republicans, middle grounders, libertarians, a couple of rather brave Nazis (i had problems with these guys) , and some commies. There also a hand full (or more depending on what part of the state your in) of hippies who are mostly vegan, and mostly communist... for a group of people who pride themselves on being individuals hippies all seem to be commies... any way, I digress.
#Occupy is about one thing and one thing only: getting out there. When enough people finally realize that it's not a Communist thing, it's not a republican/tea party subvert, it's not the CIA, IT'S YOUR COUNTRYMEN... then the real fireworks will start. The occupiers are there. Food water and facilities are available to all, and many are in for the long haul. Then there's a lot of people like myself who dedicate time outside of work and school to going on marches and having a voice. We don't sleep at the occupation sites, but we're always there to march (most of the time) and our hearts are with the people down there.
In my country, we're all Americans. American's are a hard headed group of people, and many times i feel like placing my testes in a meat grinder would cause less pain than this country has caused me. But at the end of the day I realize that we're only here for a short time, and if some one doesn't try to make a change that short time will pass us by.
So if you feel the urge to cruise by the local #Occupy don't go in there with any pre conceived notions of what you may see or feel. Expect to see other Americans, and even some Mexicans, some English, some Punjabi, some Germans, and some Chinese tourists who are probably lost. Expect to see your grandma (or at least some one her age, I SWEAR in SD there was a lady who was 87!!!!), your dad, your mom and your sister. You'll see carpenters, iron workers, lawyers and doctors. Hippies, hipsters, some punks and a lot of regular working class people. Every one is there because they are angry about something in our system. Everyone has a voice and IS heard, despite the true value of what some people have to say.
It's on everyone's shoulders. What actions we all take are our choices to make, and in the end we all end up dead, so why wait around for someone else to fix this F'd up mess? Let's do something now. It's already started, and it's on the streets.
OCCUPY THE WORLD. YOU HAVE A VOICE.
EXPECT US.
