Interesting... I know he spoke about the movement recently but now he's actually there.

I wonder who else will come out in support of this?

Of course he's supporting this.

He's a member of the Hollywood limousine elite liberal class.
He's a Democrat.
He's a 9/11 truther.
He's an environmentalist.
He is/was an official contributor to Keith Olbermann's "Countdown".

And...he's a Socialist. Yeah, he'll support OWS.

Oh god.... here we go.

You do realise that this isn't a political movement right?
There are Democrats and Republicans there..... left and right, liberal and conservative?

Or are you so narrow minded that everything has to be either/or?

And you say he's 9/11 truther, environmentalist and socialist like they're bad things?

Oh dear...... American's...

Good on him I say..

It must make life easier to just throw people into neat little boxes, while at the same time not being able to think outside your own.

The OWS protests aren't about political affiliation.

Many of these "limousine liberals" that you mentioned dedicate more time, money and resources to helping humanity than a hundred judgemental keyboard jockeys.

Glad to see Mark out there, getting involved in something he believes in.

Keep telling yourself that. "I think I can, I think I can, I think I can....." The little engine that could.

It IS a political movement. It's a far left movement to be exact. Provide proof of your claims, because all I see are far left individuals at these rallies. But, if you say it's not a movement and that it's all inclusive, it must be true.

Well what other western, civilised country is so polarised and so entrenched politically, that they can't even see that a global movement about PEOPLE.... nothing else, just people expressing concerns and opinions about being screwed by greed and corruption, could get the kind of responses I've read from American's, not only on ATS, not only on the news channels over there, but all over the place.

That these people protesting are lazy hippies who have no jobs and are only there for now and will be protesting some other nonsense soon like save the whales.

Grow up.... wake up..... shut up.

If what you people claim on here is the reason for the OWS movement, I ask, where was that movement when the Tea Party was saying the same thing...before it was hijacked by the Republican party. Here's a new flash. OWS has been hijacked by the Democrats. Wake up.

There are many Americans trying to marginalize and discredit the OWS movement. Many here on ATS are calling the people exercising their right to free assembly, dirty hippies, commies, socialists, union thugs, etc.

In reality is citizens from all walks of life; fed up with the status quo, corruption, greed and unequal influence in DC from the big corporations.

It's a pity the TPM didn't take on real issues! They were just anti Obama and ignored the issues greatly affecting the American working man.

Yeah....Americans!

You're a joke.... you're parroting what fox and other msm sources are saying in the US.

Seriously... wake up.

There are ATS members, republicans who have been down to the protests and seen first hand what's going on.

Here you go...

www.abovetopsecret.com...

First hand account.... may change your mid right?

Oh no, sorry... I forgot, you don't want to change you opinions.... just parrot the same crap you always do... toe the party line.... keep it left and right... keep the barriers there.

There are numerous videos all over the internet showing what's happening there.

If you think this is a liberal, political movement then you need some serious help.

Yeah....Americans!

I support their right to assemble and exercise their rights. I'll defend that!

However, to somehow NOT acknowledge the backing of Socialist, Unions, Communists, Nazis is naive.

As for the unequal influence, the problem isn't just corporations. I don't like the "Corporate Personhood" law, but it's a reaction to the power Unions have had. I think BOTH should be removed from Washington. NO MORE LOBBYING!!!!! Until I hear OWS telling the Unions to piss off, they won't get my support.

Just pointing out the hypocrisy in what you typed. Not fair to lump everyone together, only Americans are stupid enough to be polarized politically...

I think many of the protesters are only interested in helping people, but from what I've seen a large number are also there to promote their political ideology, and that does generally lean left. Not a bad thing, and of course I'm not going to lump them all together.

1. I don't watch Fox or any MSM for that matter. I watch my local news to get the weather, but I haven't trusted the MSM for a VERY long time.
2. What party line? Independent? I registered Republican to be able to Caucus for Ron Paul in 2008, have been leaning Herman Cain for 2012, but have went back to Ron Paul (guess I can't change my mind). I've NEVER voted for a Republican candidate. I voted Clinton in '96 though. It's been LP or Independent, Ross Perot, in 1992. I guess that's the "Parrot" your were talking about, right? People made fun of his name back then.
3. Yes, I've seen many of the videos. I've seen the CP walking hand-in-hand. I've seen the fat slob, Michael Moore. I've seen the douchebag saying we need to print MORE money. I've seen plenty of videos. I've also seen who registered occupywallstreet.org and what they're all about. No thanks.

I'm all for going after the banks, the Federal Reserve, and ending corporate welfare. I work for a guy who is in the top 3 richest men in America. He hasn't given his people raises in 5 years, yet we have been profitable to the tune of $5-billion last year. They used the corporate tax holiday to buy more companies and lay more people off. The CFO lobbies Congress for more H1-B visas, while the unemployment is over 9%. I get all that. I really do. But, I will NEVER support ANY movement that marches with Socialists and/or Communists. NEVER!

The defining trait in American politics, for better or worse, is screwing the other side.

It's why our system is failing.

For as much as Republicans love to quote Reagan, they forget the thing people liked best about him in his own time was his ability to draw people together. Now, it's just a death match.

It's a shame people can't see past that mindset and see the opportunity that is being forced open.

You call it hypocrisy I just call it as I see it.
I cannot help the fact that it "seems" like many americans are rubbishing and slamming these people as liberal whack jobs, just because fox news said so.

Show me an Englishman who is saying what the moronic poster in this thread said?

Show me someone from anywhere else that has been protesting ALL YEAR about cuts and austerity and so on... who talks about these protesters in the same way.

Even if you find ONE... it wont be the same as almost the majority of Americans I've seen, heard and read that are just talking crap about these protesters.

It's not even about "Americans" or any other nationality either... you can get stuck on that one point if you wish, try and derail and disrupt the topic... that's cool.

The same tactics being deployed as a response to the protests.

Very well put. The other thing that irks me to no end is that both sides think they're right, and they both actually want what's best for everyone but act like anyone with an opposing viewpoint is out to get them. I'm fairly certain this isn't just an American problem though.

Uh huh.... I guess bitching about people who are physically leaving their homes to go and ACTUALLY do something is your way of helping right?

Wow... Go get 'em tiger...

But, I will NEVER support ANY movement that marches with Socialists and/or Communists. NEVER!

LOLOL!!!

See... this is exactly my point.

America... the only place where Socialism is a dirty word.

What a joke..... "yeah helping people is bad, all working together to better ourselves is awful, big business and corporations should have all the power and not the people"

Whatever man..

Well said.
