Cant see any mention of this.
In addition to the sanctions its US assets have also been frozen.

I guess they shouldn't have tried to cut in on the US's business. Funding both sides of conflicts and smuggling weapons is the USA's job.

hmm.. it appears someone forgot to cut a few senators into the pot.

Seriously, does anyone doubt that a little bit of palm greasing with certain US Senators could have prevented all of this?
