Why do we waste so much energy and create so much hatred arguing over imaginary friends? A perfect world, for starters, is a world with no religion. .

Satan, while mythological, is a proper name and should be capitalized just like Zeus and Aphrodite should be.

Tell me, what's the history of Satan? Sources would be nice
EDIT: Satan is capitalized because it is a proper name

Thanks for the info concerning capitalization.
Can you name a time in history when man never believed in God? Religion is here to stay, when one dies another is born. It's always been that way and always will. I wonder why.

Though I agree with you, it isn't meaningless to the elites who strive for global control.
And I've always tried to "know" my enemy.

Religion is responsible for more lies, deceit, hatred, war, death, starvation, greed, mental sickness, poverty, and misunderstanding than any other concept. Religion, in the majority of it's forms, will be one of mankind's greatest regrets - assuming we can keep from killing each other long enough to be able to look back on how we are today.edit on 16-10-2011 by TinkerHaus because: (no reason given)

Don't blame religion for that, blame those who where in power at the time. It's the leaders who lied, had hatred started wars and all of the other things you mentioned, not the religion. While I don't agree with all religions I can honestly say that I never read one that teaches such things.edit on 16-10-2011 by RealTruthSeeker because: (no reason given)edit on 16-10-2011 by RealTruthSeeker because: (no reason given)edit on 16-10-2011 by RealTruthSeeker because: (no reason given)

Then you should re-read your Bible.
It's the most violent and disgusting book I've ever read, and I read lots.
You must have one of those corrupt versions everyone talks about because I never read anything like that. And spare me all of the quotes where you think God is evil, I've heard them all.

There seems to be alot of praise and worship going to satan on this forum. I almost puked when I heard someone say that satan was the good guy. Are these people for real? Considering the history of satan you would think that this is one area that people would not want to touch. I guess worshiping a being that gives you what you Want instead of you NEED is the best route for these guys.
While I realize that each is entitled to believe what they wish, the mere fact that people are putting satan on a pastel has got me going a little haywire. Can someone help me understand what the heck is going on around here?
And one other thing, why does the spell check demand that I capitalize satanedit on 16-10-2011 by RealTruthSeeker because: (no reason given)edit on 16-10-2011 by RealTruthSeeker because: (no reason given)

He is correct in a way. Most of the OT, was man's views and not what God was telling them to do, but mans own mind. Genesis (some), Proverbs, Psalms, and the story of Noah, are about the most accurate, the rest is not.
Even the story of Job, has been patched together like a pretzel.edit on 16-10-2011 by jhill76 because: (no reason given)

Such a statement could never be proven. I don't wish to battle that. I'm still trying to figure out why there is so much love for satan being spread on this forum.edit on 16-10-2011 by RealTruthSeeker because: (no reason given)
