In a quest to find a quote for my sig, I realized that the quotes we choose reflect more than just our personality. They reflect a little piece of us that we can share. So, on the topic of sharing, what is your favorite quote and what does it mean to you? Mine is ~

Time is the only coin of your life.
It is the only coin you have,
and only you can determine how it will be spent.
Be careful lest you let other people spend it for you.

~ Carl Sandburg

What it means to me....
I like it because it's true.

"Have you ever wondered why Republicans are so interested in encouraging people to volunteer in their communities? It’s because volunteers work for no pay. Republicans have been trying to get people to work for no pay for a long time."- George Carlin

My most favorite saying of all which is on a cheapo plaque hanging on my wall. And I quote it often everywhere I go on the net.

"Never try to teach a pig to sing........It wastes your time and annoys the pig"

I am doing my best to come up with a new Avatar with it.

Hence the slave labor they hire in foreign nations to circumvent hiring Americans who arrogantly demand livable wages. Go figure.

Old Georgie wasn't harsh on Republicans alone, though...

"The difference between a republican and a democrat? A democrat waits till he's in office before making an ass out of himself" ~Carlin

I guess that explains why I'm a Centrist.

I love George, a lot of people did. It was rare that I heard him say something that I did not agree with. He liked to find the thing that everyone else thinks, and then say it, in front of millions.

Gandi on wisdom..

It is unwise to be too sure of one's own wisdom. It is healthy to be reminded that the strongest might weaken and the wisest might err.

Dalai Lama

There is no need for temples, no need for complicated philosophies. My brain and my heart are my temples; my philosophy is kindness.

(don't always live up to the above, but have always loved the simplicity of it)

We can live without religion and meditation, but we cannot survive without human affection.

By John C, Maxwell

A good leader is a person who takes a little more than his share of the blame and a little less than his share of the credit.

Winston Churchill

Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.

You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life

Those who know how to think need no teachers.

My Quote:
Those who introduce laws without mass consent and demand how we must live our lives do so for thier own benefit.
