Both the cops and the protestors are asking for it with behavior like that... it's never alright to resort to physical violence.

What an idiot, you would have to be nearly braindead to not realize that dozens of people are videotaping every single thing that happens there. Plus, when cops show up, everybody pulls their videocameras out just in case anything epic like that happens.

It is just gross that the only aggressive ones I am seeing are the cops here....

I notice towards the end, the cop is hunched over with his hand on his face. Did he get hit to?

It was a guy and I bet he was resisting arrest and the cop took him down. It's not a normal punch. Slo mo it could have been a strike on the shoulder or neck. The cops stance suggests martial arts take down.

I watched a slo motion vid on another thread. I watched it numerous times. Although he does make a fist, he raises his hand too high for it to be a typical punch. He has a wide stance which usually indicates a japanese styling. Tae Kwon Do usually has shorter stances.
But ya I guess it could be a "sucker punch".

I've seen some interestingly absurd "opinions" surrounding OWS but this one takes the cake.

Everything is so blatantly fabricated from black and white "spectrums" when it comes from you. You fabricate the stance, and THEN formulate ideas, explanations and arguments; that's not how intelligent people analyze things. I know that the American education system would beg to differ, but holy Lord are you ever flailing here to support the conclusion that you came to before you even investigated to situation. This is a Tae Kwon Do take-down technique for arrest-resisters, that's really what you're going with? Which camera angle do you need? You must not have heard the part where I protest the PATRIOT ACT, or Bush getting us into wars. But tell me why is it ok now when Obama is bombing the crud out of countries to "help" them? And due to my having watched several versions of this video and in slow motion and looked at some stills, and watched the way the other protesters are interacting, I would say yah the guy likely resisted arrest.

Here is some grappling action. Later in the vid he says its jiu jitsu. It's similar to the Chinese Chin-na(grappling)(and also there's some hair grabbing, which is also taught in Jeet Kune Do)

You think that Barack Obama, a slave to the banks and major corps is a 'socialist'. You should be the last person on this forum to define anything for anyone.

This is what a protest looks like. People will get hurt and things will escalate to violence. The police will be told to become more aggressive by their superiors. Pressure will be placed on the upper management to suppress the movement in any means necessary with immunity for officers. This will be a get out of jail free card for all of the riot police. They will be applauded for their tactics by their superiors and other officers.

This will be an "US vs. THEM" mentality. They already work for the system so they are not likely to question their intent. When they are forced to fire on a crowd they may start to question their superiors, but some will be motivated further after having tasted blood. This happens in war and the similarities are many.

I would expect this to escalate through this year and next. If there is not a total house cleaning and reforms in government the people will forcefully take back Washington. At that point UN forces and others will be fighting Americans on our soil. The stage is already set and forces are massing in certain areas. FEMA and Homelandobscurity already have their internment camps set up waiting for a population.

All of the training being done this year and the FEMA purchases are directly related to an understanding of trends by the politicians. They are going for broke right now trying to confiscate as much money as possible from the public coffers before their terms are up because they know they will lose this battle. They will not go quietly however, and will use every resource at their disposal including police and Homelandobscurity as well as National Guard troops.

I personally expect to be on a sailboat headed for Venezuela early next year with several hundred dollars in my pocket and not much else. I am tired of trying to convince dense people their leaders are lying to them. I am tired of contributing to the destruction of a once great nation of god fearing self-sufficient free thinkers. If this country is not completely overhauled from top to bottom it will not survive.

I only wish to lead a peaceful life with no restrictions by government or the corporations that control them. I only seek to be able to grow my own food and drink fresh milk from my own cow. I do not want genetically modified food or air polluted by radiation or chemtrail chemicals and heavy metals. I want to be able to use natural herbs and discuss their effectiveness openly without being threatened by drug companies.

I never thought I would be considering leaving the previously greatest country in the world. The current world problems begin right here with the IMF and CIA causing instability and war overseas. War is the primary objective of USA politics because it appears to be a lucrative business for those in high positions. Once again, follow the money.

The megalomaniacs ruling your country are untouchable and will not stop until there is nothing left. They are scorched earth fanatics and will never change. They are the cancer that has spread around the world and they live right here infecting everyone they come into contact with.

Just where are the "pigs"? All I see is Police Officers giving the protesters a lawfull order to return to the sidewalks, and the protesters ignoring them. The girl in the green shirt had to of given the Officer a reason to take the action he did.

well i am certainly glad you can articulate your point clearly.

so when a cop tell me where to go i have to automatically fall in line, do what they say? get back on that sidewalk, yes sir! shut my mouth and my eyes and go home, yes sir. lay down in this coffin and fold my arms, well i guess i have to.

this gives you a peek at what would happen if the police get violent or call in the military

heads will roll and all these protesters will do is take pictures and scream while they are beaten into submission

Do some people not read the thread before posting? It has been made clear since page 1 , that it is a man being hit, yet so many posters keep saying it's a woman. It may be tedious sometimes to read through every post but at least you can make sure that you are getting the facts right.
