Herman Cain says he didn't want to run for president, but God wanted him to. The Republican candidate told CBN News that's why he believes "God's been in this from the beginning."

Oh goody...Cain's got god on his side now...who would want to vote for anybody else now?

It's disturbing to see god and politics being strewn together with some of these candidates-to-be...

It's all fine and well to say you believe in god and that you're inspired by it...but the second you say that "god wants me to run for president"...is the second I turn my cheek...

The outspoken conservative said when he felt God calling him to run for president, he resisted like Moses did after being called by God to lead the Hebrews out of Egypt. Like Moses, Cain says he told God, "You've got the wrong person. You can't be talking about me."

Cain told CBN News that it took a lot of those "conversations with God" to overcome his reluctance to seek the presidency.

36% of the vote are evangelicals. Or so I heard. If you don't play the God card someone else will and will try to snag that 36%.

What a freaking loon. If people are stupid enough to elect this jackhole he'll eventually also say something like God told me to bomb Iran.

Wow, can we for once get an individual as acting Potus that does not need meds and has a high probability of needing to be emitted to a ward

When people hear imaginary voices telling them to do things dont they usually end up in the loony pin?

So he hears voices in his head telling him to do things? Sounds pretty familiar, don't most serial killers say they have voices that tell them to do things like that guy who would kill people because he dog told him they were evil?

Oh but its okay because the voice is "god" telling him to run for president....What if really its "the devil" trying to trick you and make you think he is "god" and he wants you to run for president so you can take over the world and continue to ruin is for future generations like the past presidents have done?

I guess we will see because if "god" told you to do it then that means you will win because got will make it happen so if you do not when then I guess that proves there is no "god" EH?

Well the track record for great presidents that say God told them to run is 0-1. Bush also said God told him to run and he turned out to be a total failure.

I would stay clear of anyone claiming God told them to run. I would also have to question their mental state. Hearing voices is not exactly my idea of someone stable enough to be president.

Considering her position in the Republic in coins, medals, statues, etc.

Maybe this one.

Though taking in consideration of Aquila's depictions all over the country, maybe its her dad.

Maaybe God did tell him and Bush to run. The question is what God? Satan is called the God of this world. Then again maybe the leader of the Bilderburgs could be considered their God. Who knows. I just know the word God is a title not a specific entity.

Being in the Atlanta area I've had the unique perspective of listening to Herman Cain's radio show for years prior to him running for president. His religious psychosis, for lack of a better term, was something I was sure would work against him despite whatever good ideas he may have had. To some extent, it already began to cause problems with his gaffe about muslims a few months back.

He's bought into the nonsense that having mandatory prayer in schools is the silver bullet to creating an ideal society. Really. And all of the other typical rhetoric you might expect from someone with such a viewpoint; we're a christian nation, etc. But for him to come out with the "I'm hearing voices but it's okay because it's god" is either a sign of further psychosis or political desperation.
