The Occupy Movements - the 99%s, are like a steam roller. Now, in over fourteen hundred cities...

It can no longer be claimed that this is a "hippie movement", or "disgruntled youth", or "folks jealous of the wealthy", "those looking for free handouts", ACORN, or Unions or even the "far-left dingbats" without making yourself sound misinformed and/or dumb (or maybe just trollish).
Although, some dissenters might actually be "Shills", "dis-info agents" and/or "agents provocateurs" as those types do exist in any/every movement. This is a rEvolution.

There is a message - There is a stand which is being taken... Most folks from the occupy movement simply ignore those who aren't "getting it" or those who are still standing on some socio-political platform left over from the last century. The repeated media hype and old stale rhetoric stands still as the movement passes them by.
Young interent users are pretty swift and from years on sites like Youtube, 4Chan, facebook, myspace, and Reddit they know a "troll" and/or ignorance when they see it. Everybody has heard all of the agendas and propaganda (ad infinitum)

This thread is about YOU getting YOUR own info and understanding YOUR own ideas.
Don't fret about the 99% -vs- the 1%, ... The 99% idea is merely a slogan as we are all the 100%. As you check the links you will grasp the meaning of the movements and what they are about.

Either way thanks for the info and all of the links. I agree that this is just the infant stage of the real movement and have said as much. I also agree that there will be some cracked heads. Violence is inevitable. It didn't need to come to this, but control is a hard thing to give up.

My wife read it to me off of the CNN crawl on the bottom of the the news as i started typing this. But here is a couple of links to other sources making the same claim...

I wanted to thank the op for the info. The main stream news is reporting a watered down version of the facts as usual, if they report at all. I am curious though what the comment below means about ,

We should also keep in mind the difference between "Wealth Inequality" and "Income Inequality" (although sometimes interrelated).
Those who acquire a great deal of financial wealth do so primarily through the appreciation of fiscal portfolios. For this reason, financial wealth involves only stocks and mutual funds, and other investments. Hence the difference between the 1% and us the 99% (i'm pretty sure no one in the 1% is on ATS).

As the saying goes, "No Man is an Island". We all rely on each other...

How you feel about where you put your money is your business (mine was already in a credit union just for convenience). It was just another link in which i was directed.
