So there are people out there who preach the abandonment of our current economic system. They want you, and everyone else, to stop giving big corporations money. The problem is this; they don't practice what they preach.

I am an IT Specialist. I work for a corporation, and I would love to break out on my own. The problem is that when I approach these people about my alternative, they quickly shoot me down and refuse my proposal. I have offered several of these "economic hypocrites" my own personal computer repair and manufacturing skills. They were in need of a computer and I offered to build one for them, but no. I'm not Dell, or Gateway, or HP, so they don't want to do business with me.

I can build you a machine with an 8 core processor, 16GB of RAM, and all with 4TB RAID setup. Will anyone take me up on this offer? Nope. I'm not a corporation. I'm apparently not worth handing money over to for providing a service.

hypocritical economics, man.

Dad's hobby is the software side of it. He's all into free-ware for most computer users.(Most don't need anything other than what free-ware at this time can do.) He's been avoiding leaving his real job because starting out on his own in this field isn't viable because most people would rather pay through the nose for something they understand than get for free something they don't.
