Herman Cain's stupid remarks continue

I hadn't been over here at ATS for some time but saw some pals here posting elsewhere and pointing to this article.

Herman Cain has done something amazing, risen to the top of the GOP candidates but look at what he says. he's his own worse enemy and his growing list of stupid statements reveals his true nature.

I expect him to say some thing some stupid, controversial, that the Republicans might just pack up and go home. Hopefully Ron Paul will stick around and take over.

I don't see a continuing stream of stupid remarks, at least no more than any other politician makes. I looked at the first comment to the article you sourced:

Second time you hyped me up thinking I was going to see something stupid only to find that you are stupid. I think you may have confused the words stupid and truth. The Occupy protesters DON’T actually know what they are protesting about, they just yell random democratic slogans and say screw the banks. I think it would be enlightening for them to find out who gave the banks so much money instead of victimizing themselves. It amazes me how they convince themselves that the banks have somehow taken advantage of the Capitalist system and somehow cheated reality as if it is possible. I think it’s also interesting to see how many black people actually do vote for democrats. According to census, 92% of voting blacks vote democratic, that doesn’t seem weird to you? With more than 35% of blacks on just welfare alone, bigger % than any other race) it’s not hard to see why a lot of them would vote for big mother Democrat.

I am not going to agree with all of the above remarks, but there seems to be a pattern of promising something and not delivering by the OWS group. (Or, if you prefer, not promising anything at all.)

I can't call his remarks stupid based on what you've provided here.

Why start the hate on Hermain Caine?

It sounds racially motivated

Some people do not like that he is fully black while Obama is not....

He would be the real first black president..

No he is not a political puppet, he has never held a political office
and the man believes he can help this country, he is a great businessman
that is why the establishment hate him!!!

Stop with the RACISM.!!

The fact that he was CEO of a pizza joint entitled "Godfather's Pizza" should give everyone a clue as to his true intentions. Plus the fact that his last name is "Cain" should also throw up some flags. I wouldn't trust this clown with anything he says. I only trust Ron Paul, he's the only one that's made sense through out this whole charade. This whole political system has become a 3 ring circus.

Claiming racism is only a crutch to lean on when you have no other evidence to support your argument. People can see his flaws regardless of his race. Plus, America is not a business. I am not an item to be bought and sold.

stop with the "oh you don't like him? oh it's because you're racist crap"...there are reasons to not like Cain that have to do with things other than his skin color you sap...

maybe because he's a bankster shill and FED puppet for starters?

That is odd I detected no racial bias in the post, are you a mind reader?

Or are maybe trying to stir the hornets nest your self. Hmm I am thinking my second observation is more true.

Things my Republican friends were saying when Bush/Cheney were elected.

-Now we get to see what happens when real businessmen run the show.
-At last the adults are in charge.
-After 8 years integrity has been restored to the White House.

Republicans love to identify themselves with pompous jagoffs who look down on everyone else.
It seems the association provides a level of confidence in their own superiority.

I appreciate Cain's candor especially when he is being labeled an "oreo" and a "race traitor" by Sheila Jackson Lee and has been "smoking the symbolic crack pipe" according to Cornel West.

West was all over Cain for saying what is TRUE

Cain's statement.

“I don’t believe racism in this country today holds anybody back in a big way. Is there some – are there some elements of racism? Yes. It gets back to, if we don’t grow this economy, that is a ripple effect for every economic level. And because blacks are more disproportionately unemployed, they get hit the worst when economic policies don’t work. That’s where it starts.”

“I have seen blacks in middle management move up to top management in some of the biggest corporations in America. They weren’t held back because of racism. No. People sometimes hold themselves back because they want to use racism as an excuse for them not being able to achieve what they want to achieve.”

Obviously, Cornel West realized that Cain was referring to people like him, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. All men who thrive on contrived racism to maintain and propel their own careers.

Keep on trucking Herman!!

The race card should cut both ways.

I could have sworn Obama supporters used the same tactic just a few years ago.

Oh wow. Tell that to Garafalo! Those who have disagreed with the current administration's progressive/socialist agenda for the US have been labeled racists for a few years now when its no where close to the truth.

Hows it feel?

I'm sorry but I genuinely don't see how his post is in any way an attempt to troll. BTW I'm not a Cain supporter.
