"free speech zones" in public areas

All of the above are examples of how the states.....limit free speech

secondly, a Liquor store isn't a public place, it's a private business.
Not the same thing at all.

But the constraint by the state (which is what we're talking about here) isn't putting the limits on the liquor store; the state is constraining the individual's right to bear arms.

I think it's a bad thing for the states to control their citizens this way. I'm just point out the legal justification they use when doing so.

It's all our fault for tolerating things like permits and fees and "gun-free zones" for as long as we have.

When one "right" gets hit with a caveat or limit they all get hit.

as long as he is not banning the sale of guns I see no problem, the second amendment was mostly to protect the fact we can have guns to form militias in the case of an aggressive government or an invading army.

i dont see why people see the need to carry guns out in public, on the most part it makes other people more uncomfortable especially with all the crazies out there today.

however if there is a place where citizens need to protect themselves it would be in the LA area, and other regions where gang violence is prevalent. If we strictly followed what the constitution says we should hand very citizen a firearm no matter what their mental stability, or past criminal activities were because the constitution sy we have the right to bear arms.

People carry guns in public to protect themselves from the crazies that do their worst crimes in public.
