Though I can not view the video due to it being blocked from my location, it is interesting to note that its quite acceptable as long as it is Jesus that is being depicted. Do the same for Islams prophet, Buddha, Krishna and just about any other religions god or founder and there are death threats against the so called offender. With a flurry of apologies form the creator of the drawing, doll, action figure etc. Yet if it is Jesus then it's OK to do so.

Why therefore is there such a double standard when it comes Jesus? It is obvious, the world hates Jesus because he exposed its evil ways and cut it no slack. Yet it loves the others because the world loves its own.

Do not be expecting Christians to jump on the thread screaming hate and unashamed finger pointing at the OP or the video. They will once again be faced with the fact that Jesus words were and are true and continue looking forward to his return.

Apparently you missed the point. It is alright to create an action figure of Jesus and make a video. Yet try doing so with Islam's prophet Mohammed. The Christian will not threaten you, however the Muslim will call for your death. There is a double standard, the non-Christian and non-Muslim will laugh at the Jesus figure but be outraged at the Mohammed figure.

If your brave and fearless do the same thing with a Mohammed action figure and make a video and let us know how funny you feel it is to have people out to kill you for your joke. Then you might understand the double standard.

Sorry, This is what I was confused about.

I don't think its got anything to do with being a double standard, not from my end anyway. Generally people would just be more afraid to take the piss out of other religions as MSM has made everyone think that they are just crazy and will blow you up just because you think differently or mock them.

I really dont think your average Muslim or Hindu etc would even get riled up, rather just ignore it and move on. You are probably more likely to get a hardcore christian getting in your face about something like this.

That is just a reference to his stating that the world hated him unjustly and would mock and ridicule those that followed him. Thus his followers are faced with the fact that his words were true and carry on looking forward to his return. I should have made it more clear.

Now if WBC hears about this they will be out in force with their hate filled signs in front of the producers house!

I wasn't commenting on whether it was humorous or not, just that there was a double standard regarding Jesus. This in fact is born out right here on ATS. People can say, make fun of, mock and laugh at Jesus and it's all well and good. Yet should anyone say anything about Islam's prophet Mohammed and sparks fly.

For muslims it won't be OK either!

They consider Jesus to be a prophet AND the Mesiah.
Even Muhammad said Jesus was more important than himself, and most muslims are the same.

Jews and Muslims both do not accept idols/idolatry nor images depicting god or the prophets, and God forbade it. That's why Muslims get offended

Nah I think it's ok to do it to anyone. Can you name one person who was killed for depicting Mohammad? Just one? Not even Salmon Rushdie although he might have killed himself when Padma Lakshmi left him.
