Firstly, you don't have to eliminate the military entirely. Those in the military can all still keep their jobs or work for PMCs. Most of the military spending comes from supplying active bases in the Middle East and Asia.

Thats not true my friend. The both wars cost about 20 billion a month.. Still a lot of money though.

Anyway,

You forgot about removing corporate person-hood and properly taxing corporations as well. Tax breaks would be given to corporations who reverse outsource returning huge amounts of jobs to US soil. The increase in production makes the United States, once again, the largest exporter rather than importer. With the factories back in the US we would no longer have to subsidize China by paying for their factories. This alone would generate large amounts of money. Next, completely end the war on drugs. Legalize, regulate, and tax marijuana, coc aine (but not crack), '___', etc. The drugs whose harm does not exceed alcohol or tobacco. More billions saved and generated.

It is going to take us decades to get out of the hole that Reagan began digging no matter what we do. But if we don't do something fast the hole will just get deeper.

Ok add it up for me, how much does that save per year? And are we going to keep the military or not?

I didnt know that being called a Liberal or Marxist or Socialist was a bad thing. I thought they were descriptors of political ideologies. If I am wrong, I apologize if I hurt your feelings. Have you ever considered that maybe you suffer from self-loathing?

doesnt matter what you cut because they are always adding more more more more.

take the big three ss,medicare and medicaid all three half ass programs that serve noone as keep adding to them and the age progression of americans has created a system that can never sustain itself hence the perpetual push for higher taxation aka spread the wealth.

those people are not creating their own wealth but consuming the wealth of others now if those programs were in the private sector where they should be they would be cheaper more effective and better quality of service.

that would also be generating trillions of tax revenue across the federal state and local boards which means more people paying for themselves and generating more revenue for their local and state and federal economies means the government would have more cash and so would the people and the government would be spending less since the need was lessened.

but wait for it that doesnt make sense lets spread the wealth create programs that dont do anything they were desgned to do and keep adding more.

that is the social,marxist ideology in a nuts shell but they will brand you a hater of women and children and old people but whats goiing to happen to all those people who are now dependent upon a government program that has no means of funding?

the current state of the union that we all know and love.

You can call me a conservative or tea partier all you want. Those labels describe my ideologies.

I was under the impression that "liberal, marxist, and socialist" were legitimate ideologies. Now, if he had said "commies", we'd be talking slur.

Tea Party: okay. Tea [Party]er: Slur.
Liberal: Okay. Commie: Slur.

Sorry to the mod for using the other name for tea partiers. I am so used to being called one I never thought of it as being derogatory.

How do you propose that we pay for what we have currently in addition to what other things you want government to provide?

We don't, but there is no point in paying for some of the things that we currently pay for. The main one that others have mentioned are the wars. Our economically unsustainable trillion dollar wars that have been going on for a decade would be called off in 24 hours if it were up to me. Then end the Drug War as well, because it's unwinnable and a stupid waste of money, and we've spent somewhere around a trillion dollars on that since it's inception.

Then tax the rich more, specifically targeting those big corporations that pay little to nothing in taxes yet rake in unimaginable amounts in profits. Also tax the rich in general more. People live paycheck to paycheck and can barely pay the bills while some guy with millions of dollars whines about higher taxes, that really makes me sad.

I agree we should end the wars and the war on drugs. They arent accomplishing anything. However, after we do that it will only save about 250 billion a year, and I am inflating that number to be nice. So we still need about 1.25 trillion more per year in savings.

I just edited my post before I saw yours, but I would also want to tax the rich more as well as make sure the huge corporations that make tons of money pay taxes.

Then if that's not enough, we could put some brains together, and members of the government could sit inside of a room and not leave until they've found the most appropriate and reasonable places to cut spending until we have enough money.

The communist believes we should all be working for the government with a 100% tax(It can vary). Basic necessitate all provided. The socialist believes that the government should control the economy or something to that effect.

All and all it relies on the belief the government is not corrupt. Now I'm really simplifying it here so I know I'm about to get an ear full.

Employ more Americans to root out welfare/disability scammers, cut funding from the programs that help ex-cons find jobs, increase taxation on anyone that grosses more than 1 million per year, get rid of government reimbursement to corporate America. Giving reimbursement money to a bank, is giving even more money from the same customer's pocket, that they've already let down. It's bad business and a little responsibility on the part of corporate America would go a long ways.

corporations who are already paying you since you have a job has to pay even more when they are already paying more in taxes than they are talk about a double whammy.

and yeah thats gonna upset people but that term corporation is such a broad term.

i suggest people read a npr article about 3 trillion in tax cuts for the middle class and we all know the bottom pays none.

see this is classic socialist marxist reasoning they only thing they care about is MONEY even tho they play it off the other way.

wonder whever ever happened to real liberalism wouldnt they have a thing or two to say something bout someones rights.

in a constitutional republic such as this country minority rights are protected from mob rule and that also means the needs of the many NEVER EVER out weigh the needs of the few.
