one group thinks government is the answer

one group thinks themselves is the answer

one group is throwing a temper tantrum stomping their foots and crying

one group took it to their congressman and changed a congress and changed elections and policies and stop a liberal party cold in is tracks.

one group is the media darling

one group was astroturf

those are the differences and anyone who has been paying attention to current events know whats what.

IMO the tea party will never team up with the protests going on. I've been following both events being interested in them and there's never been massive arrests at a tea party event. I'm guessing they wouldn't want to be associated with that.

tea party can't even make tea! IQ is real low for most of these people!!!

Occupy Wall Street is like a Gastro-fabulous 5 start chef with a legion of farmers.
Get educated Tea People and join the Occupy movement, )they are smarter, bigger,
and will get their demands met!

haha, the OWS crowd will be used by the Democrats just as much as the Tea Party was hijacked and used by the Republicans then you will see the intended message evaporate into something else you really didn't want in the first place.

I am so happy that we saw an intelligent comment being made on this subject within the first few replies and you hit the nail on the head.

What we are watching is the very early stages of divide and conquer. The Tea Party started as a grass roots movement. It was all about fiscal responsibility, smaller Government, Civil Liberties, and Government Accountability.

Then we watched as Palin, Gingrich, Bachman, and others on behalf of the Republican Party embrace the Tea Party and ultimately took it over.

OWS started as a grass roots movement. It appears to be about fiscal responsibility and Government corruption. They are currently being embraced by the Democrats and the Democrats will take it over.

So what is next? Cause in fighting between the Tea Party and OSW movement, but you will not actually be seeing true in fighting, what you will watch is a continuation of the 2 party system debate. Republicans vs Democrats 2.0. As long as the people (who hold the true power) fight amoungst themselves, you can not create the change you desire. That is why these movements have been hijacked. It is more divide and conquer and sadly as you can see, even here on ATS, it works like a charm.

OccuWallBaggers
....
WallBaggers

What does this even mean???

Why do people insist on making up stupid names for things...you can't just take part of a name that makes sense and slap it on something else.

You're wrong too.
The Tea Party is the 99% too.
The one thing we don't want is for the OWS people to alienate the Tea Party. OWS doesn't need to be co-opted by left leaning media and politicians how the TP was co-opted and used by the right.
