I live in Australia, so generally I'm not quite familiar with amarican media. At the moment I'm watching 'fox news Sunday' they just said #occupywallstreet is "getting more mainstream media attention than it deserves"

At the moment I'm looking at a panel of old men in suits with their white teeth and fake smiles, talking about protesters needing more direction etc etc etc.. Then it goes to a shot of Osama talking with the same white teeth nice big smile and suit talking about director of this director of that department of this..

You can understand how the minds of people are directly influenced from watching things like this.

I was hoping you could help us understand since the owner of fox news is Australian.

Fox news is well known for its trolling the world.

They are almost always very opinionated, they present news with more comments than facts, and are on a good day, racist bunch of extreme right wingers.

So I'm not surprised at all.

You may want to do a search on "Fox News Lies"
Watch the videos and then watch Fox News again, and you might start to see why large crowds of angry people will chant things like 'Fox news lies'.

I'm aware of that however the people on the panel and views expressed are American. He also owns the local news paper for the area I live in and every other area in the state and the paper provides updates and happenings around me. What's being built, how schools are going.. Everything you would want in a newspaper about local news.

So what you are saying really has no substance.

The media is very clever at cutting things together in order to make a particular impact or point. It verges on subliminal messaging. It is good that people are seeing this.

There is a lot of this in advertising too - It is almost funny when you spot it.

I watch/visit Fox news and their website for 2 reasons.

1. When i need a good laugh.
2. When i feel like seeing just how corrupt and bias a news source can get.

Though that being said, another reason i visit fox news is for the subtle hints they give which show us the direction in which society/government goes. They are so bias, but within that bias is a core of truth. They show just how corrupt the world is.
