A Brain Cell is the Same as the Universe

Nature is self-similar. It means that same shapes and forms repeat at different size scales. There's nothing strange or mystical in this. In my research, I deal with individual atoms that spontaneously arrange via self-assembly in various ways depending on the physicochemical properties of the system. I have nice scanning tunneling microscope images that show atomic arrangements that look exactly like air/satellite photos of the terraces of a vineyard.

This brings me to my second point. It would be silly to claim that since my atomic assemblies look like a vineyard, they're actually a vineyard at atomic scale. The geometry might be similar, but these two systems have nothing in common. In other words, even if the structure of the universe is similar to that of a system of brain cells, it doesn't mean that we're "living in a brain". The nature simply prefers certain shapes and forms, because they're energetically favorable.

I could say the answer to all things lies in the resemblance of the bird to the 5 hour energy bottle, that wouldn't make it true. Please, have some perspective on this folks!

This is the nail in the coffin for me, we are part of a fractal universe, I believe this is the best proof man is capable of producing that this is a fractal.

I believe in our fractal universe every possibility exists all at once, time is our perception recorded, we do not cease to others can just percieve us not longer existing.. we are the picture within the picture, every piece is the same, things can look different because your perception percieve them to be as we know with fractals eventually you see it is all just one and the same.

IMO Our brain is the physical machine translates this energy, just like our senses, our brain interprets energy from our sensces sense, it does not need to do anything physical, i believe the brain chooses what instructions it recieves based on what it considers possible, if we have fear within fear is what we see in our world, if we are happy within happiness is what we see, if we are angry anger is what we experience and if we are skeptical then we get a skeptics reality.
Many cultures around the world have learnt to control their mind and in turn control their heart beat, claims of levitation - I believe that they are in fact recieving the reality that they believe is possible - and so it is.
Throughout history cultures worldwide had a spiritual side, yet they were not always connected - perhaps they understood better than modern man that life is what you believe it to be for you are but the energy within the braincell that controls the physical.

We hear people talk about "The Zone" Sports stars, musician, gamers, artists, racing car drivers all talk about the zone. The zone is the period where your whatever you are doing becomes an extension of yourself, you no longer focus on control of the physical - you focus on control of yourself - once you have control of your brain and you believe it is possible, it is.

You do not need to think it just happens I believe in this state you have control of your reality because you have reached a point where you really believe the impossible is possible and so it is.

The proof is all around us, we just have not been interpreting it correctlly.

We can calculate mathmatical alternate realities exist but we have very limited proof of them existing. We have been able to see we can , I believe this is because they are all still part of the same fractal and they are simply a part we do not believe we are capable of seeing because we do not see it as being one, they are all around us through us over us, in us. Everything is everything.

I know it sounds nuts but look at modern science in to parrallel universes etc there is nothing "logical" about it - because logic like everything else is perception - and if you see my threads on reality i have known this for a long time. This is the nail in the coffin for me, you could say it is true because I believe it's true

Do you not realize that the computer simulation of the Universe is based on actual data gather from NASA's WMAP explorer that is run on Super Computer.

I see about the same level of similarity in that comparison as I do in the OP picture, and about the same level of relevance between the images..

I can see some similarity in both cases, but I don't even think it's all that coincidental since in neither case do the images match up all that well. I can see the "virgin Mary" in this Grilled Cheese sandwich too:

But I don't attach any particular significance to that other than recognizing I'm human so I'm as subject to experiencing pareidolia as anyone else.

I have thought the same since i was about 13 years old(36 now). Think about it 6 billion people on the planet, about 100,000,000,000s cell per brain, if thats not a case for the multiverse and every possibility happening at the same time i dont know what is! And thats just humans!

This is what the Bible tries to explain all the time.
It talks about the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit is God.
The Son of God is God
The Father is God.

Christ says why are we not One like the father
Heaven is amoungst us
We will be like the Angels in Heaven

Really interesting... Could it be that our universe could possibly be the brain cell of a super giant?

That's pretty cool. However, the picture shows 3 cells and how they are connected to their environments not the structure of a cell itself. The interior structure of a cell, at-least from the macro view, looks more like a factory (which indeed it is) than the interconnectedness of cells within the brain.

As many rational people have said above:

this doesn't show the inner working of the cell
this doesn't show the proper local connectivity of the neuron (there are many specialised types of neuron)
this model of the evolution of the universe is highly speculative - remember dark matter etc are theories created to patch the experimentally observed universal mass gap, they are essentially ad hoc and almost certainly naive.

If the universe is patterned like a few brain cells, where is the rest of the "brain-universe"?...

The fact the brain cell we see in the article is from a mouse, I can't help but think about "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"...

Thank you, everyone on this thread is getting wowie-wowie over an optical illusion. I guess no one remembers high school science?

The truth is, the center of the universe and the brain cell are not even closely constructed except when you view it like the way its displayed.The brain cell is made of axons and dendrites that branch out from the nerve cell to other brain/nerve cells with a sorta spidery appearance. This is how they receive and conduct electrical impulses from the body and communicate with other cells. The picture of the universe are GASES that are branching out leaving trails (it may be a time lapse photo that shows trails) but are notphysically connected as everyone should know if they took science in school. It's an optical illusion!! If you want to compare matter to celestial events, go look at protons and their electrons and compare to planets with moons or compare to solar systems, at least that is more realistic.

to be honest, i really wouldn't be surprised if this was true. there are so many things we haven't grasped yet, and often the impossible turns out to be possible.
this reminds me of something a friend of mine brought up once, it's called anthropic principle, i think it's, something like the universe exists as it does because we view it the way we do. something like that, i don't know, i wasn't really listening.

Even the Blue star light in the wrist looks like a Nail.
