rt.com...

Helicopters and heavy police presence have been brought to keep the turmoil under control in New York. According to NYPD Commissioner Raymond Kelly, the protests have already cost the city $2 million in extra security costs.

I must say, I have to applaud how far OWS has come in such a short period of time, especially with the intercity protests. This is certain a struggle against oppression and the future of America. You can tell can't you? This is going to get even bigger in the next couple of weeks. You should also wonder why you aren't hearing about this in most western media outlets...

But “Occupy Wall Street” protests are more than just a citizen standoff against the big banks. Some of the Wall Street campaigners accuse American news outlets of peddling a view of the US that bears no resemblance to the reality lived by millions of Americans. “People are standing up against corporations that actually run the media,” says campaigner Travis Pinion, “if there is no freedom of press there is no democracy.”

I also wanted to quote this that OWS has become so much more. I mean, every single other nation on the planet has kind of realized how biased most American media is. Luckily with the internet we now have freedom to have a universal and global perspective so the truth may not elude us no more. Forget your television set when it comes to news. Find the truth for yourself on the internet.

Yes exactly, the Internet gave us the ability to get more sides of the story. To see more perspectives.

Including the perspective that the MSM typically downplays or ignores totally.

The pro-Freedom perspective.

If they don't shut the 'Net down soon, we will overwhelm them. And if they shut it down, it will cause mass unrest too!

So they are damned if they do, and damned if they don't.

We have them in between a rock and a hard place. They have very few options left.

Freedom will triumph over the slave masters, it's inevitable.

2 million dollars in costs? Didn't the NYPD get 4 million in donations during the start of OWS?
Looks like its being "well spent".

It is only a matter of time before the msm loses all viewers. With the invention of the internet and facebook, it completely revolutionized how we receive news. Sooner or later the msn will be looking like the idiots that they are. Alot of people are starting to see their true intentions.

If the politicians are starting to get rattled and lash out, then the protestsers must be doing something right. At first it was probably just an annoyance, but now maybe they see it as a real threat. Well done OWS.

Is there any chance he will go to Wall Street or issue a statement about the occupation ? When Toronto's comes up whatever Toronto Mayor Rob Ford does will make Bloomberg look like a saint, Ford cursed out a pregnant woman when she caught him talking on his cell phone while driving, and a few days ago he was caught again, (Cell phone use while driving is illegal in Ontario)

Bloomberg doesnt have the testicular fortitude to show up their. After his administration dropped the ball at every chance he had, he knows better than to face the people
