We need to be thinking ahead on what to do about Wall Street criminality.

People are gathering on the streets in multiple cities and know little of what to actually do.

As this is happening, we need to be thinking ahead here. Assuming we will actually accomplish something with OWS, lets come together on what new laws to enact to ensure the problems that started this will not happen again, because you know some people right now are getting scared and might decide it's time to start shredding documents and erasing history. It needs to be wide ranging, because Obama did say that the folks on Wall Street are creative and will figure out a way to take more. As it stands here we don't have clear definable laws that were broken. The crimes they committed don't technically exist, at least not with derivatives trading.

We need investigations and we need transparency and the Glass-Steagall act back in place.

You can lower their corporate taxes to ease the change, but we need total transparency without being socialistic about it. You wouldn't even need organizations in charge of oversight. Just make all records available to the public and offer rewards to people who find anomolies. This shady business of business, government and military working together in a conspiratorial capacity has got to go! How else are we going to trust anyone again?

We also need transparency in the alphabet organizations. You wouldn't find too many that can make a decent argument there.

Let's follow the money trail to see whose @$$ it leads to!

I'm thinking all we really need is a large containment facility for the protesters. Perhaps some guillotine trains to 'transport' them.

That's not the kind of response I was looking for...

All great proposals, but NONE of this will EVER come to pass. Do you think if we could take over, those agencies wouldn't have already fought to the end against us?

We have the numbers but NONE of the power. It won't end well for us and yet I still think the resistance is important. It's the difference between dying a slave and dying free.

I wish we could hope for this kind of change, but the people in charge simply will NEVER give up power.

They will nuke every big city in America from deep underground before they allow us to truly take back control of the government from them.

We're in a lose-lose situation here.

Official watch dog groups that have the power to audit corrupt corporations and banks.

That's my guess.

Well, the job won't be done yet, cause after we take down all those evil corporations/banks, we need to go after every millionaire, can't let them get away scott free. Then once we get those prople we'll have focuse on our neighbors cause if they live better then I do then they need to be taken down a peg or two, right?
So, just where does this end and who is the one deciding the right or wrong?

You do see it clearly for what it is and I agree. No one likes what they see, but until we are serious, nothing WILL get done. We do have the electorate at our disposal....somewhat. I do know that resolve would solve this peacefully. What I also know is that I don't want humanity to have to face the horror that is comming for them in the future because we didn't take action to prevent it. Well that's far into the future so we can pretty much relax about some of that.

Small chunks. You can eat an elephant one bite at a time. Right now Ron Paul knows he'll not get to be the president, but his goal is to wake folks up to the Federal Reserve. If we stop it there, it gets easier.

If you look at usdebtclock.org, you can see that the spending still hasn't slowed down even after everything in the past few years. Attitudes need to change. We need to start right behind our eyes and chest.

We have a voice and local gov't. We can start there.

That's a valid point, but belongs in another discussion entirely. I read Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged and you can't read that book and not say, "Hell Yea! John Galt is my hero". And you know what? He was never portrayed as a cheating, lying, sack of $#!t...! This isn't communism creeping up on us like in Russia, which is what Rand was actually getting her inspiration from.

Dennis Koslowski, former Tyco CEO, cheating and lying is just one of hundreds of examples. This isn't him making money through making something useful for the world and getting paid for it. Cable, Satellite and Phone companies are making serious profits from signing you up to give you crap all day and night. They aren't making connections. They are separating us.

This is something that hasn't been seen in quite a while; an oligarcy. I don't know if the statistic is right, but when half of everything is owned by 1%, that's a problem. You're asking where does it end. Now I'm asking you where does it end when you were born on this earth, made of materials from the earth, created by a process of which you have no idea, and you should be able to walk around and investigate as you please, make your own assumptions and ask whatever questions you want.

You have the right to announce to the world, "Don't Tread on Me!"---maybe add a "B!tsh on the end of that and mean it.

We think we own ourselves, but yet somehow we find ourselves enslaved. We can't move. Congress and the Justice system pass new laws every year adding to the pile that already exist. How long before all you can do is sit in front of the TV or make the donuts? You need to know this. They own you. You are owned. You're a smiling depressive looking at everyone else smiling like there's nothing wrong with the world. They're taking insects and rats and implanting machinery to their own ends and those life forms have no voice to fight with. Monkeys too.....

Now look. You got me stirred up here.
