Obama is only a President, he doesn't have any real power.

that is why they are not protesting in front of the White House:

but if you take some time to use google you would find out there are some protesters camping outside the White House as well...

why wouldn't it be possible to occupy FED AS WELL!

That's what we need to do. Make both the issue instead of just the one.But most are unaware of the Fed and how much power they have, more than a President of the United States.

So if we don't tax corporations more(which is a small hit on their multi-million quarterlies), they create more low-paying jobs for us? What room is there to excel in a company that feeds off the manual labor of the people who actually work for the massive corporations? Where would that company go without those doing the manual labor? And yet, those doing the manual labor are only worth 8$/hr?

They don't profit by giving you a raise - they don't profit by giving you more privileges in their corporation - they profit off making sure you make nothing while 10% of the companies employees consume your hard work at a easy profit while you work 40 hour weeks barely making enough to house yourself and feed yourself, and we don't get to enjoy life or go travel - nope. We get to sit around and cater to the machine!

Are you implying that everyone who's on board the occupy movement doesn't work?

You can get rid of the the whole government, but unless we change the economic system then nothing will change for the better. Capitalists will make life unbearable, if they haven't already.

Hmmm,I wish all the youth took history lessons.................

I posted this in another thread.....

July saw more demonstrations, as about 500,000 workers and soldiers in Petrograd demonstrated, again demanding "all power to the soviets", "down with the war", and "down with the ten capitalist ministers". The Provisional Government opened an offensive against them on 1 July but it soon collapsed. The news of the offensive and its collapse intensified the struggle of the workers and the soldiers. A new crisis in the Provisional Government began on 15 July.

Capitalism is bad................

Hope its worth it.

Occupy the Fed in Kansas City starts on October 9th, I'll probably head down there and join in on the protests. I'll try to get some videos or at least some pictures of the crowds and let you guys know how it turns out.

I don't know why you're trying to turn this into "anti-Obama" thread...

the "occupy" is not against a single man.

Occupy LA has lost all credibility the moment that the Los Angeles City Council voted and signed a resolution of support with their cause. They further lost credibility when Mayor Villarreigosa (who is an AEG shill and loves ok'ing LA DWP rate increases so that he could pay his union supporter more money) started handing out ponchos and they accepted them.

Look, its noble to protest,but......protest those who are to blame. The Bankers, didnt make the Laws. The Bankers ARE in the White House. Its Obvious. America fell for this hope and change BS,and feel duped. So instead of of saying,"yeah,I screwed up by voting for a clown Obama" they decide to picket Wall Street. Last I heard the Senate,The President, sign, and vote bills in. America doesnt need bailouts,it needs REAL change, not a slogan.

Let's not candy coat it. "Occupy Wallstreet" is a largely liberal movement. The confusion here, is there are 2 totally different things happening, and some are trying to mix them together. The liberal movement to bring down the corporations, and then the "Occupy the Fed" movement which is not even close to the same thing you are promoting.
