In their defense, it is a more natural state. Humans are not biologically monogamous like a few other species. In a survival situation it is survival of the fittest, and only the most well-prepared, healthy, and durable couples will survive to procreate. The species depends on nature taking its course, not a lot of time for silly, prudish, illogical restraints. Or at least that's gonna be my justification. Of course, I preach that now, unsuccessfully, but I keep trying.

I would still hope to find a group run by some people with a bit of humanity.

I know it would be chaos mostly.

The best one can do is not to ask too many questions probably and that is where I would go wrong.

I have so many ideas of what is right and what is wrong.

I'd want to find a utopia and I know that isn't possible.

I just ultimately wouldn't want to end up in a group where women and children are basically the slaves of men, who use them for their pleasures whenever and wherever.

I'd hope everyone is respected, even the old or sick.

I'd want there to be some rules and method of law enforcement. I wouldn't want the rules to be too strict, but I would want people to be protected.

What is worse, to die of starvation or to live for many years with plenty of food, but getting raped every day and seeing your children getting raped?

What is worse? Dying in the wilderness alone or joining a community and then they kill your mother because she is too old to work? Or they force you to marry someone you hate? Or anyone is allowed to beat your child for any offence? Or the chief can pick any woman he wants for sex any time?

What is worse?

I know it might not be possible to create a utopia, but I do believe that there are some people who if they are given the chance, could create something workable.

So we can assume that any woman we encounter in the post-apocalyptic future will have much more than just looks in their repertoire of survival. Sounds very nice to me.

Because at the end of the day, if you encounter a girl who only has good looks to her and no brain, all she will become is a hinder to your journey and eventually a danger to your very survival as you will have to risk your life to protect her useless a$$.

I'm in. But I don't like the idea of law enforcement. It really just seems a path down a road we have already travelled.

Not much has changed. just the names on the office doors.

I have a vast knowledge about explosives and chemistry.
Explosives=obviously, making mines and traps against property invaders.
Chemistry=making batteries, household cleaners, solid fuel for camping burners etc.
