Hi
Nice that song..., but thats it for me. Its just clicking together Music samples with some software (Cubase etc..pp).
If this guy could play an instrument i would be much more impressed.
Maybe its also because i for myself play approx. 30years guitar to have such an opinion.

All techno music sounds the same. It takes very little talent to create something like that. I have been playing instruments since I was 12, and most of my family are musicians, and I have been around live performances since I was little...I know talent when I hear it, and this person doesn't have it.

Most people don't realize that the really great musicians aren't famous. Some of them become famous, and even more end up as studio musicians, but the majority are just everyday folks.

Most of what you hear on the radio, especially with alternative rock and whatnot, is performed by simply decent musicians. The majority of them aren't great. I have done my fair share of recording, in actual studios and at home, and anyone that can halfway play an instrument can be made to sound good...

Live performances are when it all comes out. But then again, anyone can practice certain songs over and over again, so even decent musicians can play their own songs. But being able to sit in with people you have never played with before, and to play songs you have never heard before, that is talent, and that is a great musician.

I know people who have, but I haven't, reached the level where no matter what the song, you just KNOW where the music is going. You can just feel it, and therefore play it.

I have a hatred for this genre. Not because of the music itself, but because of how lazily produced and uninspired it is. Bump tss bump tss is the only drumline I've ever heard in this genre. And FL studio is a great DAW if you have any real talent. FL studio sounds like # when you don't know what you're doing, and can't master your tracks right.

Check out what this guy can do with sound. It's sampled, but it's also original and inspired.

edit on 7-10-2011 by patent98310 because: Video embed on this site is horrible. Why not use the whole youtube link for embed instead of the number, which I still don't know if it's after the watch?v= part or what.

No Talent needed for that kind of music. All you
nees is a 'puter, some apps, samples and if you
really think you're somethng maybe a midi-
keyboard and some 19" stuff.

I rather see him pick up any instrument and
blow me away.

The thing about dance music, is that is designed to make people dance, (funny that, given the name). There is good dance music and bad dance music like with any music, like in any genre there are the masters and the wannabes. Talent like in all aspects of life seperates the good from the bad.

The music does not require live instrumentation because its all about the kick drum and in most cases a synthetic bass line, everything else is just trimmings. The drug culture explains why much of the music is repetitive, most of this music is played in clubs where people take drugs that make them dance. people dont want to be facing a band or waiting for the band to have a break for the next song, it's about a continuous flow of beats bass lines and breakdowns. If you've never tried it I highly recommend it.

to the track in the OP, it's all a little house by numbers, herdly breaking any new ground, but not bad production for a young one. Good to see it still appeals to youngsters after all these years.

Electronic Music can be amazing.
This is not though.
Most people dont have an open enough mind to listen to anything other than boring dance hall music like theres, theres a whole world of amazing and creative music.
like this

For what its worth i dont know anyone that likes electronic music that doesnt take mind altering drugs.

And for those who say this kind of music takes no talent
download FLstudio and show me how easy it is or shutup, you have no idea what youre talking about
Music is music, its all made the same way, doesnt matter if youre playing through a guitar or a synth. or a guitar synth. Point is dont bash something your not open enough to understand, maybe turn the radio back on and leave us electronic music fans alone.
