cub vs Cougar (old video, surprising ending)

this is a scene from a movie, never heard or seen the movie but it came out in 1988, thats according to the comments left on the video, but isnt it amazing how we can train these wild animals to create a very realistic scenario?

It's from "The Bear". Awesome movie...Check out the scene at the waterfall. It'll make your hair stand up!

Yeah, it is amazing. What's also amazing to me is that they are able to spend so much time with these animals for the sole purpose of entertainment, and still make a profit. Lot of money in entertainment...

For the trainers, I bet it's the challenge itself that is rewarding.

WOW! thank you for posting this! The clip was only some minutes long but daimn!!! Did they also teach the cub to pretend to fall over on the edge of the branch? Did they tell him how to use the branch to swim away? Wow, that acting was far more superior to some of the "biggest" stars in Hollywood Gona watch this movie deffinately

I love ATS for a lot of reasons, but this was really cool. Brings in people that show stuff like this...Oh, and thanks OP for a very happy four year old

No its safety line was used to pull it off the branch. the safety line is visible from 2:24 1/2 to 2:25 1/2.

It was a wonderful movie and should have gotten more in the box office, imo.
