I often ask myself this question, and i find the paranormal fascinating which i am sure most of you do.I did some research and back in the early 1900's science did begin to take the paranormal and unexplained seriously until some spiritualists kind of screwed it up for everybody and the scientific community then began to believe it was all fraud or hokum. So i pose this question to the ATS community,if you had to make a presentation to the scientific community to start taking the paranormal seriously how would you do so? And to what particular disciplines would you appeal to? Also i have found an interesting link that might make a few plausible arguments.. idoubtit.wordpress.com...

scientists research what is of intrest to them in most cases
this is like asking a chrisitan to research atheism haha

but there are some scientists looking into it, and when they find something we will be sure to know

A ghost in a test tube would do the trick...

If there is ACTUAL proof, then they would take it seriously.

Unfortunately what some people consider "proof" just isn't.

Clairvoyants - Fake hoaxers who use cold reading and claim it as paranormal
Ghost Hunters - Hoax, claim dust and lens flares are ghosts. (camera anomalies)
Dowsers - Cant find a bottle of water under a box

Some people just dont know what they are looking at ant convince themselves it HAS to be something paranormal.

There is NO proof that there is anything paranormal..its a word put to a set of events the person cannot understand/explain...back in the day it was called magic...now its called illusions

An honest scientific approach. Like what the Ghost Hunters show pretended to be in the first season. Scientists, forming a hypothesis of what might be going on, then testing for it. If there is some substance to the paranormal claims, then there has to be some mechanism that makes it work.

No, "EVPS" don't count, because 99% of them are merely static that your brain strains and converts into a voice, or extremely questionable.

I would require a scientific study of the phenomena. the problem is, whenever they do this, they find nothing. But with that, I'm willing to admit they might have found exactly what they set out to find, making those studies meaningless.

im pretty sure the ghost adventures crew has captured some pretty legit stuff...

but im on ats, so instantly anything they capture is probably a hoax to some of the members

even they have had scientists and digital video professors prove what they caught was real through simple studying of the videos.

www.youtube.com...

pretty sure that brick being thrown there was proven to not be them doing it

also if an evp comes in clear, its not the brain trying to distinguish words through static. i guess also the experiences ive had in my own home, along with the millions of other people around the world, doesnt count as legit proof either

Corrupted Powerful Institutions who are ruined form over educated embicile minds and just smirk and laugh at it.When it is plain as day there is 100% factual evidence of the paranomral phenomenon.Dishonest skepticism is not the least bit skepticism at all. They are called liars and always will be.
They are paranoid over everyone being a hoaxer and are afraid their buddies will make fun of them for actualy being honest. All they need to do themselves is go to the places in the world that provide paranormal phenomenon for them.Instead they argue all day long about it.

better than your lack of anything

and no ass clown thats not my proof. i was using it as an example. why dont you open your mind and go out and do some investigating yourself? or are you afraid of things you deem nonexistent because you cant see them.

also that was on a documentary before they were even big or known. the documentary was done with basic cameras that had night vision. they also used regular recorders. but i guess since you werent there, it doesnt count. i bet if i uploaded my own video, you would still call it fake .

I read somewhere maybe here that radiation effects the visual access to the paranormal realm. Supposed exposure can allowhumans to see things always there but not observed..

Im not called assclown btw

en.wikipedia.org...

Why has no one claimed the $1,000,000???

Im sure many people could do with the money, and if the paranormal is SO easy to prove then this should have been claimed in the first experiment.

When you take away the cheating and manipulation....the paranormal fails to exist!

EDIT: And of course i would try to come to a logical explanation for your video

Proof exists to only those who've had their own personal experience.

Same goes with UFOs unfortunately.

I think we've a likelier chance of taking a picture of an E.T space craft than we do a ghost.

This is just my opinion. Ghosts seem to either "bleed in" to our realities by chance, or show themselves on purpose.

I think skepticism is healthy but the scientific community has taken it to the point that even when valid evidence is given they either cease to accept it or stretch and back peddle to explain it away simply because they believe it must not be so...
