Loud hum outside my home

About 3 minutes ago at 11:39 I was in my room and I heard a loud hum coming from outside. I quickly grabbed my phone and went outside to get a sample noise. As soon as I stepped out I was covered in chills and the noise died down before i could even turn the video on... I would best describe it as a bellow-hum. Central Florida

I stayed for another minute to see if it would come back... nothing.

Strange thing though... about 15 mins prior to this my dog that was lying by the window sleeping( where I had later heard the noise from) she awoke and starting to growl toward the window...this startled me and confused me. I heard and saw nothing though.

Any thoughts are welcome

100% sure. I live in a large open neighborhood and it was completely coming from the north, it was loud enough for me to hear from inside and for me to go out..

I had something like this happen to me on sunday night.
I kept hearing a low humming sound.I looked around my
house,I shut down the furnace,I turned off my fan,I still
heard that humming.I even heard it after going downstairs
to my office.
I finally opened the front door and stepped out into the front
yard.The sound was coming from outside of my home,like
something in the air.
I was finally able to get to sleep after 3:00 a.m.but,I had to get
up at 5:30a.m. to get my husband ready for work.

No, it wasn't as high pitched

Location would be nice,but I understand anonymity.

That sound have been reported around the world. And not always as high-pitched.
Explanations range from Tripods to nuclear weapons going off in underground bunkers.

I highly doubt it was anything earthquake related Florida hasn't had any activity in decades.

Do you live near any farmland? Farmers are harvesting soy beans right now and alot of them run their combines all night long. I am sitting in my house and can hear combines running in every direction. If you are in the city then I don't know what to tell you but combines are loud, exspecially if their are 2 or 3 running together. Anyway, just an idea

No none of that, where I live its mostly suburbs and dense town area.

There is the Taos hum some people hear. My bets advice is to keep a recorder around. I am interested in all of this noise I keep seeing on the net and would like to hear an authentic source. The only noise I ever hear is computers and people complaining about the computers.
