I mean.....those dudes in the commercials see their gray hairs and look all down and dilapidated, then they color their hair, usually with a color that looks normal only to a mental patient, then after they color their grays they have Victoria's Secret models hanging all over them 24/7; so many they have to beat them off with a stick.

I just don't want to overdose on hair coloring like Billy Mays. I may leave it to a professional.

Getting old sucks!

Peace

Or.....
We just quit being so vain, and just accept our shortcomings.

Getting old is part of life, we all do it and with it comes changes, get over it.

Who cares what "society" says we says we should look like.

Getting old does suck, none the less.

I fell ya. I found my first few greys not to long ago, and I'm only 31. Personally, I say roll with it, as long as it's not falling out, I'm cool with whatever color nature makes it.

LMAO. You are right but here's the thing, when the carpet doesn't match the drapes, what then? Are you going to apply said hair colour "down there" too?
I also have the odd grey hair coming out of my beard. I am so lazy I just can't be bothered to worry about it. If I start to get a bald patch I will shave the whole lot off though.

PS Maybe Dave Ferrie (JFK plot) had the right idea. Brightly coloured unnatural looking wigs and a permanent marker (er...forgot the US name for those things...wait...a Sharpie!) for the eyebrows.

that is a cute post..

I'm not sure how old you are... but I will tell you this as a personal opinion.

Gray hair, especially just a few.. looks very distinguished on a man.

If your looking to attract very young women, it may be a deterrent...but quite honestly, a man dying his hair will be more of a turn off , once they find out.

Just my opinion, but I have never associated sexy and attractive, with lack of gray hair, even when I was younger.

( ..if you only have two or three, and they bother you too much, just pluck them out with a tweezer)

That's where mine are too.

Is it possible to color just two hairs?

Peace

You should just roll with it.

IMO gray hair makes a guy look distinguished. I can't wait for mine to go gray.

I have a friend who has large salt and pepper spots for the past 5 or so years, he's around 30 today.

Honestly some people look good having gray hair. It depends on what ya look like and hair color and if it fits there personality. I say if the gray hairs don't bug anybody then who cares its not like your walking around with a walker
or if its just bugging you go for it banish the gray
either way i don't call it old i call it seasoned.

Trust me, they're there. I'd use a Sharpie, but I don't think they make those in the color of my beard.

Peace

Im nearly 32, i started getting gray hairs a couple of years ago....and im balding

I couldnt care less, its part of life. Im not nearly as vain as i was when i was younger. I shave my head, have done since i was about 17 so i only notice the balding and gray when it grows..which doesnt happen very often.

Im still young looking
Many people think im in my early 20's

Don't pluck them out!! 15 more will show up at it's funeral!
Guys are lucky, grey hairs make them look distinguished (whereas for us ladies, it just makes us look old, coming from the one with a full head of dyed grey hair at 36 lol) so roll with it man. My hubby has a white streak in his beard now, and it looks very good on him. But if you really feel like you need to dye it. Use one of the henna colors. It doesn't look fake, you won't smell like chemicals, and if you need to redo it immediately, it won't fry your hair. The worst you'll smell like is newly mown hay. Don't use that just for men stuff ever!! It will make you look like you put shoe polish in your hair.

I am sorry but I have to totally disagree with the plucking thing. Thats so like a woman. They pluck eyebrows out then draw it back in with a pencil!

On a more serious note, I find that a beard trimmer on the shortest setting works on the beard but maybe you have a more impressive length that you don't want to cut. My beard is more a way of not having to shave as I hate it. I have never dyed my hair and never will. Its too much hassle and the colours might look kinda false, (I guess you have to do the eyebrows too?) not to mention I don't think its good for the hair. I'm more a growing old ungracefully type I guess. I shaved my head recently just to see if I have a bald spot. Well, I did need a haircut too. Anyway, its still all whole so I will just roll with whatever colour my body decides. First sign of baldness though and its time for a razor and some beeswax polish. I will shine!

we don't all do that..

I also have cut mens hair ,and trimmed eyebrows. Sometimes the unruly gray eyebrows (which are thicker) take over . A simple pluck.. and those few are gone, making for a much more streamed line looking eyebrow....and no they don't come back double.

They will grow back over time.. but plucking them really does help alleviate the unruly mess they make for the time being, and lasts a good while.

Gray hair is fine. (unless you are a gray alien lol).

Bald is OK too, if you have a good personality.

It's all about personality, OP!

Women dig men with grey hair. I am a commercial pilot and earned my grey fair and square. There is nothing sillier than a MAN that colors his hair. It reeks of insecurity and there are few things women like less than an insecure man.........

If it really bothers you shave it off and get a couple of tattoos and you will be right back in. Of course they will know you are really bald and infertile hence a poor mate but that is another story lol.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. Denis Healey, old british politician. Wear them with style! (Not to mention plucking hurts!)

This is what he said to the last person that wanted to pluck his eyebrows!
