Several of the OWS fighters/protesters have made themselves known here and I among many other people have been asking them what their goals are. I'm perfectly fine with people standing up for their civil rights and venting their frustration at the system, however it comes across that these protests ARE the answer. If they are the answer, what is the question?

If you people want more support from the masses instead of coming across as an unorganised bunch of rebels-without-a-plan, then share with us what your goals are, and what your game plan is? No need for specifics as I'm sure I'll be suspected as being some sort of covert operative. Just a rough guide?

As far as I see it from the many threads and posts so far, this is your idea:

1) OCCUPY *insert destination here*!!!!!!!!!!!
2) get arrested

Casting our minds back to 'peaceful protests' in the past, it doesn't take much for them to turn into giant brutal riots.

Is the end goal civil anarchy, with people roaming around in a f***-the-power fashion, looting and destroying public property? You're calling for people to rise up right? The cream rises to the top in those situations, but unfortunately the crap sinks to the bottom, and said crap will use any excuse to cause chaos.

Care to fill in the blanks? I'm sure a lot of us would be interested in seeing some form of structure to this.

i can't see anywhere that clarifies the methodology which is to be implemented to achieve the goals? That's my main point.

"I want equality!!" -- How is this to be obtained by protest?

i'll post my questions from another thread here to further clarify:

1.) What are your plans for levelling the playing field in regards to the economy/wages?
2.) Isn't having someone with a 6 figure salary on board a little contradictory? What's he/she fighting for?
3.) Once you have a large group of people protesting, and most get arrested (more than likely), what's your next move?
4.) How are any of these protests going to change anything at all? Are you trying to provoke marshal law tactics?

Anyone involved may answer these, but please do.

END CORPORATISM.

That is the unifying goal, whether most of the idiots realize it or not.

The current protests may be stupid and unorganized, but they are serving a good purpose. People are being mobilized and getting practice for what is to come. When the dollar collapses, when the economy collapses, then you will see the REAL protests. They will make this look like a joke. Hopefully by then, people will have figured out who their real enemy is, and been able to reject this communist manifesto list of demands which is absolute nonsense (most likely scripted and promoted by the elite themselves to try to disband this protest.)

The party is over soon.

Humanity has been living in "structures" from the dawn of the civilization. So what your asking for is just to repeat the same old pattern that brought us to this endless crisis. We need to break the pattern. Is that difficult to see?? I hope not. Maybe the protesters are doing that for the rest of us. Radically changing their view of the world and only from that true change will come.

The plan is to not get arrested... Why the hell would you WANT to get arrested? I'd prefer not dropping the soap in a jail...

What was the goal of the Egyptians?
It wasn't to depose Mubarrak, it was to demand social and economic form, in a general manner.
They didn't have any set "goals".
But in the end, Mubarrak was deposed and they have a new political system to work with and one less dictator.

Sometimes you don't need to know the end game. You just got to get on the road.

I'm not a protester, but from what I've gathered the vast majority of these people want a communist revolution.

It seems to me that protesters only wants a better country for everyone. Why is that some people keep naming it as communism or socialism or populism or whatever labels you can find to name it. I just don´t get it. You maybe don´t agree with them but please don´t label them with obsolete or really irrelevant names.

well with the current state of media favouritism, and the majority being unconcerned, just be prepared for your movement to be known as the 1%, and until you have clear steps to take in order to make the changes you are asking for, you're in for a very bumpy ride.

Times are a little different now to those mentioned in posts above. That's the main reason this site exists. You're fighting a big machine with a a chocolate bar, and unless the machine is diabetic, you could be in trouble.

Why don't some of you run for office? Change it from the inside? A long road has to start somewhere.

That is what MSM and the DNC want people to believe. That is why they are infiltrating then the MSM interviews them to spread their propaganda. The main thing is to not let them get away with it. My friend from Egypt translated what was reported in Egypt about it. It basically said that the demonstrations were to support the re-election of Obama and his agenda. What a crock. I told my friend all of this was nothing but lies. What can one expect from the same people who just gave us the photo ops in regards to Libya and the propaganda there.

They dont know their goal. The idiots need to demand an end to the "Federal Reserve". If these jobless morons only understood that our monetary system was turned into a debt based financial black-hole via the "Federal Reserve" in 1913. That 4 months of our employment year are spent simply to pay our tax burdens to these debt/borrowing/spending/taxing addicted drunks in DC.

There's a ton of reasons to protest, I think we all know that.
Perhaps everyone has their own handfull of reasons. I didn't know it was protest ettique to have just one topic to go off but I'm sure the bottom line is that ppl are tired of the b.s. What b.s? Everyone deals with their own level of b.s..So if you really want to know, someone could go down there and start asking each person "what their point is"..and see where that goes..besides, its not like its a surprise to the TPTB. Heck they're probably laughing at us, wondering what took so long.

How will protesting change anything? Nobody knows until it's tried. If we can't do what our parents/ grandparents did then we will fail and hopefully come up with a new method.

I guess people feel that if they band together in the streets something will happen. Some have nothing to lose so is getting arrested or sprayed really the worst that can possibly happen?

I don't blame them and instead of getting online and trying to analyze every single detail of these gathers, I'd rather go out there and be of support and find out what the message is or spread my own awareness..

Now I realize there a lot of mastur-de-baters here. I'm not here to argue, I'm just donating my perspective. You are not required to agree.
