Well I hope they abided by NASAs no fly zones on the Moon, perhaps they were taking HI-DEF footage of the " Landing sites " of the Apollo missions, to show that there is nothing there after all. I always said that we would finally find out the truth about the Apollo programme before the end of this year !

Trust the Aliens to be the ones to do it !

I can just see it now, on Nov 27th, the TV broadcasts will be interupted by an Alien transmission that will say " Earthlings.........I have two bits of bad news for you, Firstly we are about to destroy the Earth, secondly, you never did make it to the Moon.................

November 27 is the day I will make 30. The aliens ain't coming to destroy the Earth. They're coming for my birthday. Those things they shot on the moon is just fireworks. They've started the celebrations already, such nice fellas.

I take no jabs at this thread even thought I find it highly unlikely. My question is, why would they shoot the moon? I can imagine up various conspiracy theories over the years but what do you think OP?

I think we don't have anything to worry about if they can't hit something as large as a Moon...

november 2010 didn't work out so I'm glad there's something new to look forward to...ugh!

Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Earth has no munition or machine that could threaten such an interstellar race.

It's not like it would be some sort of Space D-Day or anything like movies like to show. There would be no need for intricate planning, or planning at all! Just fly in and see what stones we try and chuck at them.

The second foxnews link had literally nothing to do with the first claim. It was simply a fictional scenario, one among thousands, that some dudes speculated about. Scientists/think tanks etc speculate about fictional scenarios all the time, had nothing to do with an actual event.

Why would you post this? Are you really this gullible? This is a satirical fictional story like the rest of the newspaper... Do people on ATS even care about sources, or evidence anymore? Or just buy into any ridiculous story that fits in with your belief system or what you want to happen? You couldn't take literally 1 minute to google or wiki "weekly world news" to find out its a silly fictional tabloid before posting it on ATS?

ATS isn't designed for purposely posting hoaxes for #s and giggles if that was your intent, in fact I believe it's against the ToS.
