OFC: Obama Fried Chicken Pops Up In China...

drudgereport.com
www.dailymail.co.uk...

Is Obama abandoning his bid for a second term in the White House and is giving Colonel Sanders a run for his money by opening a chain of fried chicken joints?
Now that's change you can't really believe in.
But in Beijing, China, a restaurant is actually calling itself OFC with a logo that looks alarmingly like the President dressed in the colonel's clothes.
The Obama Fried Chicken could be a response to the U.S. filing a complaint with the World Trade Organization about Chinese tariffs on American chicken exports.

Now, This is a story out of my Home Land, China.
This does not surprise me at all. From what I've heard from family and friends still in China, Obama can be Funny and He Maybe He Can Get You To Try The Chicken Clubs Sandwich, A CHANGE That May Be Good For You!

Could this Really Be In Response To Tariffs and Chicken Exports, YES!
In the last 10 or 12 years the Chinese People, Especially the Businessman in China has had more Freedom than ever in the past to express themselves.
And they are!

But this is not only in China, There are numerous businesses in America that use Obamas name too and you can see that in the Article

.

It's No Secret here at ATS, My Husband and Myself, Have Not in The Past and Do Not Now, Like Obama, He reminded me to much of a Maoist and My Husband always said he did not have the Background or Skill to Be The President of America,,, He was elected to make people feel good about themselves, when they should have never felt bad.

That's the Obama impersonator. I don't remember his name but he was on several things here. That commercial was funny and I think they were simply capitalizing on the Obama image. That seemed to be more of an homage to Obama.

The message is "change from the ordinary chicken you would find at McDonald's. But on the other hand, I am not sure the joke would mean the same to people who associate black people with fried chicken.

But on the other hand, it is just a commercial about changing the fried chicken sandwich.

lmao kudos to the owner for creativity .. May the kitchen god and prosperity god smile and bless him with a good business.
Have seen many businesses in asia with names that mimic western companies and people .. Thumbing noses at copyright laws is something of an art form and pastime over here . The creativity in them is fantastic and at times hilarious

Have you ever seen this site?
www.engrish.com...
This site has pictures from different countries and how they butcher English or make signs that we would think are very offensive or very funny but they did not use the correct English words. It is hilarious,

I was being Respectful to the MODS, nothing more.
Plus if you read my post, you may have realized, English and it's many phrases and uses of wording is not my Primary Language, But I Do try.
Now, Are you done?
If not, Try and post something that relates to the OP.
If you can't do that, then try not to But in and talk about some one you know nothing about.

Will you guys please PLEASE stop saying this? We will give you the benefit of the doubt and the mods don't need your permission to move/delete a thread. It's getting really freaking annoying reading this on every new thread.

I read on some website that this was an affront to every African American and couldn't help but laugh. EVERY black person I know loves fried chicken and completely embraces the stereotype. It's a fun one, like white people dancing. Of course there are wonderful white dancers ( Michael Jackson [oh NO racist joke] ) but the stereotype is there for a reason and it is in no way hurtful in my opinion.

Very funny! I remember some ads while in Japan:

A billboard for Coca-Cola.... The slogan read I Feel Coke!

A weird one, for yogurt.... a young man standing at the mouth of a cave, arm extended, holding a container of yogurt. He never says a word, just stands there with that 1000 yard stare...

You gotta love 'em!

juveous, I read the link you attached, very interesting, how the shop owners are threatened with legal action to change the name.
Black Leaders threatening them and helping to stage protest, This is Crazy,,,,, All because of Obama and him being the president.

I can tell you right now, If they tried those tactics in China, They would not get very fair at all.
The Chinese would be making fun of the Rev. Al Sharpton. Come On Rev, Al Sharpton, bring it to China!

The man who caused a stir by calling his fast-food restaurant Obama Fried Chicken no longer plans to change the name, despite a growing outcry from protesters who say the name conjures up disturbing racial stereotypes.

On Monday, about 20 people, including the Rev. Al Sharpton, protested outside the restaurant, at Rutland Road and Rockaway Parkway in Brownsville, Brooklyn

Source: cityroom.blogs.nytimes.com...

No they won't change the name and Copy Rights Means Nothing!

You knew as soon as you read the article that it was racist, again racist will always be around. And to anybody who thinks alllllll black people loveeeeeee fried chicken, your an idiot. Dont assume all of us black people fit that stereotype, thank you. Sad really sad, but somethings will never change.......
