Anon is weird to me. A lot of the time they are just douchebag hackers who will completely end you. Other times they are hacker activist who are fighting for the freedom of the internet. At least we know that if they do something to the interwebz, Anon will not lay down.
At any rate, this is all very dramatic. Its like something out of a movie.edit on 2-10-2011 by TsukiLunar because: (no reason given)

Anon, if you see this, please add words to the bottom of your videos. The music was a bit too loud and it was hard to understand (at least for me) what exactly was being said. Plus, we don't want to alienate the people who have actual hearing problems or are deaf.

We don't even know who THEY are. Could be CIA trying to hack the planet so they can have a reason to take the internet from us and then blame us for it because Anonymous is using it as a terrorist weapon against the America Gov't. I think it's CIA just like Facebook, the "profile yourself so we don't have to do it illegally" approach.
.... can someone explain precisely what is going to happen if anon succeed in taking over America? ANYONE!!!!?

I guess I don't trust anyone but myself, because I don't feel like being led or guided by this Anonymous anymore than any other individual or organisation!
Especially one that hides their identity and face..... yeah, they seem trustworthy !

To those who are saying that Anon is a CIA operation designed to initiate the "kill switch" for the Internet.
Really? It's not. You want to know why?
Think about who it would hurt the most if the Internet were to go down.
The banks and the government.
Most monetary transactions are performed through electronic transfers. People's pay checks, Social Security checks, stock market revenue, bill payments, wire transfers, etc.
Sure, the little guy would be hurt if the Internet went down and couldn't get access to his/her account and finances, but the Big Guys couldn't either. Who do the Big Guys care about? Themselves. They are scared of the kill switch more than the little guy. While the little guy is missing out on getting a few thousand electronically deposited every month, the Big Guy is missing out on getting a few million every month.
If the Internet weren't accessible, we would see the opposite of the Trickle Down theory.
If the little guy can't pay his bills, the utility companies don't get paid.
If small businesses can't pay their bills, the utility companies don't get paid.
If the utility companies don't get paid, the government can't collect on all the taxes that they place upon these services.
Just consider for a moment how many people and companies use an electronic device to pay tolls. If these couldn't be loaded, the states wouldn't be getting their toll money either. Once the accounts were empty and couldn't be loaded electronically, millions of people would be sailing through toll booths for free. Do you really think they can fine everyone, everyday for as long as the Internet was down?
I could go on and on about how the government and banks would be more affected by the Internet kill switch, but I think you get the point.
The government would be cutting its nose off despite its face if Anon were being used to shut down the Internet. At least in my mind. Sure it would suck to not be able to go online, but knowing that it was really hurting the Big Guys, makes me smile.
Besides, what did Obama say about tightening our belts and cutting back? We all have to feel the pain.
Well, as far as I've seen, only the little guys have had to make sacrifices and it's about time the ones at the top felt the pain, too.edit on 3-10-2011 by Afterthought because: (no reason given)
