Apparently, ATF has sent letters to gun dealers in Arizona telling them not to sell to people who use medical marijuana.

While some citizens may have won the right to use medical marijuana, winning one right may come at the expense of another. In a letter to firearms dealers across the country, federal authorities are being clear that firearms should not be sold to medical marijuana users.

It seems to me as if this is just one more reason for them to do away with the 2nd ammendment. I know that there is already a law stating that felons cannot own or buy firearms, but I think this is a completely different situation. I have known a few people that had a permit for medical marijuana due to a specific illness, and it helped him greatly with the pain, nausea, and other complications due to the illness. I can certainly understand that they would not want people to that addicted to crack or meth or any other number of drugs, but I can''t see how medical marijuana would be a threat. I could be wrong, but nothing that our government does anymore surprises me. To me, this is just one more blatant attempt to destroy the 2nd ammendment, as was the operation Fast and Furious fiasco.
Here is some additional information that I found:
www.myfoxphoenix.com...

ATF says right now they don't have anyone out there enforcing this, so no one is cross-checking to make sure those people who buy guns don't have a medical marijuana card

Well, this is great, but I suppose its a matter of time before they do. I really think that there is something more to this than just targeting medical marijuana users. I suppose time will tell.

Wow, so it's okay to ship thousands of guns south of the border and sell them to drug dealers shipping tons of coc aine into the U.S......but don't sell a gun to some poor guy with chronic back pain or dying of cancer?

This is a messed up world.

FFL's arent going to bother checking that and it's not something that comes up on the insta-check so I dont know what the hell the ATF expects to get out of this.

Not to mention, if the ATF were sincere they'd be raiding medical marijuana users homes as we speak to search for and confiscate firearms. That's not happening. Not yet anyway.

Between this, the requirement to report a father buying a rifle for himself and his son at the same time, Gunrunner handing firearms to every thug in the hemisphere and the bureaucratic shuffling to avoid losing pensions the ATF is showing itself to be what most of us already knew it was, a useless cluster# of imbeciles who do far more harm than good.

I heard about that happening, but had no source to actually look at. The next question is whether the people will follow directions or not. I guess theoretically they could be arrested for selling them anyhow, but it is clearly unconstitutional, making a void law in practice.
I'm worried. It seems as if the feds recently are on an all or nothing campaign against the possibility of revolution, involving the arrests/guns/police brutality etc... But I could be completely paranoid and wrong.

... I'll take my chances and be ready. Just in case.

Speaking of making your own firearms, have you considered using high powered airsoft guns with modified BB's?
For legal reasons I won't get into specifics. What I will say is a flying pyramid doesn't go as far but leaves a much nastier hole.

Stay safe, brother.

So let's see. If you are on medical marijuana you can't get a gun. Why not other prescriptions? Valium, heart meds or how about other anti nausea drugs?

And yet in Ohio,Tennessee, Arizona, Georgia and Virginia you can carry a gun into a bar.

The ATF does not want the pot smokers to take the extra guns
the ATF needs to sell to the Mexican drug cartels so they can shoot American
law enforcement. ATF needs your guns.

So their going to check perscriptions?

Guess what!

Under Obama's healthcare plan, you'll be on a government database so they won't even have to ask.

They'll just say no.

How ya'll liking that hopey changey thing?

Its jst another attack on the 2nd amendment. After this group they will find the next group to ban from use. With the coruption in our system the way it is things like this will continue to happen as long as we let them. Personally, noone will ever take my firearms from me for any reason whatsoever. If this world changes for the better and i no longer need or want my firearms i will melt them down and use the metal for usefull things, but until then they'll have to pry them "from my cold dead fingers"( oh Mr. Heston you are missed). The real question is, how long are we the people going to allow things like this to happen

Well, I can understand that they don't want a bunch of stoned dudes running arround with guns. We know how aggresive and unruly stoners are. Not a problem with drinkers though..... Let them have all the guns they want, all they do is keep themselves to themselves and eat doritos in front of the TV.

Wait.. hang on a minute.....
