Just came across this and thought it was quite hilarious. Although I do like seeing McDonald's getting bad publicity,I am rather happy that the little girl wasn't actually sucking on a used condom.

I bet there were some very stressed McDonald's PR people that are now very relieved.

Clever prank though. Honestly it reminds me of something I would have done in my younger days. though I probably would have left it in the teachers lounge at school or on the prinicpal's desk.

mcD's was my first city job during high school,

i havent eaten mcD's since high school

i loved the fries the nuggets, the filetofish n the soft serve,

u get free food all the time and when friends come over u can undercharge or slip them freebies

but the problem is the personnel are still like 99% sex-minded ghetto kids

lets just say there was more than 1 horndog workin there that i noticed get to close between the big mac buns and into the tartar sauce and mayo, sadly

i complained and they let me go and made me sign a severance agreement with $1,000. i needed them as a reference for my next job so i stayed relatively quiet but this is no surprise it happens most everywhere not just mcD, even fancy restaurants.

ppl take precautions to know where its been before u eat it. glad the toddler wasnt hurt. (gross)

I can not imagine what would had been going through the mind of the little 2 year old's father because when I first read the original article I wanted to be sick.

Unfortunately McDonalds employees young teens and students who know squat about cleaning. Here in Sydney the worst McDonalds I've ever walked in to (and never went back) was in George Street that opens until quite late. I'm yet to find one McDonalds outlet that uses desinfectant spray to wipe their tables.

hahah. . i saw about the same as pretty1, so i guess it happens in most all the franchises nation or worldwide.

looking back, basically too many horny teenage quickies, groping n wut not went on in the back tooo close to food prep. major violations. i remember a lady brought back a sandwich screaming it was 'squirted on'. who knows.

i remember on fridays employees were allowed to take home 'happy ending meals'.

i dont know if i ever will hav mcDs in this lifetime (since hs) but this thread even though the toddlers issue was reportedly not with mcD service, its scary and especially so with all the new resistant strain of flora & fauna infecting our foods & killing kids & people these days

Haha, thats hilarious. I work at McDonalds and im just about to go in to do the close shift! And one of my duties involves tidying up the play area. I can honestly say i have never got lucky in the play area or on the climbing wall,
And I dont think i can face any mcFlurrys tonight.

okay so it was a stupid prank
but stupid pranks is what being a kid is about, especially in a town like geraldton
and what are you going to do, chain the kids in rows and whip them when they step out of line?

All I know is that I would be disgusted if that were my child. Though I guess you'd be relieved knowing that your baby hasn't contracted some nasty disease!

I don't think violence would help much myself, maybe community service. The problem i have with there prank is they specifically targeted very young children. That strikes me as more than just a prank, they could have left it setting on the table or a tray to me thats a prank. Putting it in the play pen went beyond that in my opinion and these kids should be punished, and hopefully learn a lesson from the experience.
