Just tried to do this. and got this:

Your name change request has been rejected by our automated approval system.

Anyone care to guess why this is?
I have my name, then you can add a wee bit in (here)
Just wont allow me to add ANYTHING re: this group/cause/whatever you call it.

Conspiracy?

More likely Facebook doesn't want to have to defend itself against the Government, if allegations are brought up, if anything.

But then, MySpace started doing this same thing kind of some 6 years ago. They will slowly lose their dominance when something else comes along that people won't be as censored on.

Anonymous is a obvious keyword on facebook.. for the most part facebook won't let you change your name to anything not "believable"

By the way.. They are now probably monitoring your web activity..

Dont know why I am not part of this, whatever it is. Just think its fairly kool to be honest. right or wrong, people have a choice, or should have a choice to be free. America stomps around the world starting wars in the name of freedom of expersion. I just dont get it. These people aint terrorists. They are kids angry at the way things are being done by governments. They are "supposidly" a peacefull group. But hacking sites will cost average joe his money or his job.

I am just interested in what this group is all about. That is all. If I never post again, may it be known you are right, and I was killed by the Al-Qae....I meant the CIA..

Is your name Anon4?
That's probably why they don't let you change it to that.

It's because on myspace certian "Groups" i wont say any names would change it to

"Secii Mamii"

And so on.

they always log your net activity, its called tracking cookies, and half of them are from google =/

it borders on breach of system security, idk why no one has sued the bejesus out of them yet.

Facebook can do this with any name. It did it to me because I entered too similar of a name multiple times trying to create an account for my dad.

Why would you want an account on there anyway? If thats your thing however, enjoy it untill Nov. 5th when ANON is supposed to shut it down but well see bout that......

The easiest way to be ANON on facebook is to not be registered. Disconnecting from most sites is the easiest way to start, including here. I am no longer participating on facebook for over a year. I got tired of the non-sense posts like "My dog just took a dump after walking him"

Those I need to speak with is in person for anything important, phone second.

I have a strong feeling that facebook has filters in place for self preservation against threats from an anonymous group to take it down.

If a guy named chuck threatened to harm you, would you let a guy named chuck through your front door?

sorry but no conspiracy here..

my daughter attempted to change her last name from her fathers last name to mine + she got the same message.

I also tried to alter my name awhile back + also got this message.

I think you'll also find that Facebook does not allow numbers in your name.
