When I read about this I went and looked at the USGS site it shown no EQs in the area . The map sensitivity is greater than 2.5 in the last 7 days .

earthquake.usgs.gov...

Here is a article stating the same as original post

www.wired.com...

Here is a Utube that I saw gives a little more . It sent me to the last link .

www.youtube.com...

This is the Centre Sismologique Euro-Méditerranéen

www.emsc-csem.org...

They show plenty of EQs greater than 2.5 Why is USGS showing none nope nada EQs where the CSEM shows a bunch of them going back months ?

Ooh, hadn't heard about this - wonder if it'll blow. Hope it doesn't disrupt lives too much, considering they're evacuating and say it could erupt "in days, weeks or months". Will certainly keep an eye out on this story. And if anything happens I wonder if it'll effect any airspace.

Also enjoyed this quote:

Eumenio Ancochea, volcanologist at Madrid's Complutense University, said: 'An eruption could fill the island with people interested in these phenomenon.

'After an eruption the lava advances at a few metres per hour and you can easily take photographs as it descends.'

Man, I just came back from a boat trip to avoid the comet. Now I'm gonna have to head back out to avoid the tsunami!

That is La Palma island, same chain, different island.

Not much of an evacuation.
2 days ago 53 people were evacuated from the area for fear, risk of landslides.
Now 36 of those people have returned to there homes.

Though it does look like the tremors are slowing down, the pressure looks to be building ....

Nah, but increased activity in that region could mean that also trigger that volcano. Only time will tell what happens i guess.

Relax everyone, Al Gore is monitoring the situation.

If this thing blows, it will be sent the Mother of all Carbon Tax bills, that will teach that volcano.

This is the latest news
www.abc.es...

The quakes are moving away from the land and coast to the sea.
The most recent quakes are located at sea. So there is less risk for landslides, that's why most of the people now, returned to their homes. No more evacuation for now, but chances are still there for bigger quakes and an eruption.

Umm,
volcanoes erupt time to time.
And from what I have seen of this one it is not a big deal if it does.
no Tsunami will come from it either.
maybe that is why it is not talking about it cause this IS what volcanoes do..
