Reports suggest that an Iranian court gave Pastor Nadarkhani a third chance to avoid hanging, but he replied: "I am resolute in my faith and Christianity and have no wish to recant."
In another article on this situation the accused pastor said he never practiced Islam. Therefore he cannot be tried as an apostate.

A man who converted from Islam to Christianity is facing the death penalty in Iran for refusing to return to his former religion. Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, 34, of the Church of Iran, faces hanging after refusing a court order to renounce his Christian faith. He was arrested in 2009 for apostasy and given the death sentance , first time i've heard of him though.

Just another case of Christians being killed by cults. He will be added to a list of over 120 million Christian martyrs or more through out history.
Wonder if there will be a Jihadist book of martyrs like there is a Foxes book of martyrs ?
