I'm talking about Christ's 1,000 year reign here on earth to take place after the Tribulation. You'd have to read the book of Revelations in the Bible to know what I'm talking about. Everything that's happening now is written there and explains what is to come.

...specifically Revelation, chapter 20..

This is about as scary, as UBL ...

Most of these religions are meant to control people, through fear. You are dozile, because you have fear ... and as you talk, you are a living example, as why the government, and the religions are organisations of terror.

Are you kidding? Those of us who have religion and understand the Bible fear it the least because we've been studying it and talking about it for years and years. It's not about controlling people, it's about waking up ignorance. The only people who fear what's coming are those who don't use everything within their power to gain knowledge.

The only thing I have to lose is to end up like you. If all things go as I believe, only you will be the fool that is left.

Religion is not the definition of Christianity . Religion can be any practice . You may get stoned religiously or have faith in Radio Carbon Dating , both losers . Christians are not weak people or weak minded . They do put their money where their mouth is though . Christians are the people that follow only Jesus Christ the Son of God . And its hard to put up with people like you but we will .

So, you find it hard to put up with strong people who put their money where there mouth is? I'm a Christian and I definitely follow only Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I thought that was clear from all of my Bible verses that I posted earlier.

I'm Christian, though with a much different understanding than most who would describe themselves as such (and I'm right, and they're all wrong, etc., etc.) ; ) ...anyhow, I'll say this to that: The book of Revelation is happening no more now than it was 500 years ago. We've had plagues, we've had starvation, we've had earthquakes, we've had war, etc. throughout human civilization. So far tens of billions of people haven't died in a short timeframe from these things. So far 1/3 of the land hasn't been scorched, our good pal Wormwood hasn't poisoned the lakes and rivers yet.

I could go on, but instead I'll just ask: Am I missing something, or what part of the Book of Revelation is happening now (that isn't just standard events that have been happening throughout our history.)

Ooops! Sorry. Revelation reveals what's to come, but feel free to look back on my previous post on 2 Peter 3 to describe what's actually going on in this thread. I would reflect on the book of Daniel and possibly Matthew to refer to current times. All of the scorching of the land will happen during the Tribulation and before the Millennium. We are on the edge of entering the Tribulation.

Conceptually been around for a while, but in the current parlance, you can just use Lono...Thats the Nome de plume for the "Truth...as "I" see it articles anyway... Mark Twain, George Carlin...we all steal from each other...

Yeah, I remember George Carlin saying that as well. That guy was very quick witted and intelligent. Best stand up comedian ever to exist in my opinion. ~SheopleNation

I believe that I clicked on the wrong post to reply to . I meant to reply to a post that said that Christians are weak and can't decide things for themselves . They call us stupid and haven't a clue just how IGNORANT that they are . Ignorant meaning ignoring truth because it's not fun . These same people will not with prejudice know anything that gets in the way of there party down attitude .They will not acknowledge the bible and the prophesies that we see coming true today . They don't know and will not know the truth . I don't think that they can handle the truth .

And that's the problem I have with the fundamentalists who have annexed Christianity - it's not about how you live any more, it's about belonging to the Jesus club, and basically rubbing your hands with glee at the fate which awaits all people outside the membership. From my poor atheist's point of view, I always thought Christianity was meant to be a faith of universal love and forgiveness, particularly forgiveness of enemies. All I see in the fundamentalist mindset is hatred.

I agree. love bill hicks too.

As the quote from Einstein also, "Now he has departed from this strange world a little ahead of me. That means nothing. People like us, who believe in physics, know that the distinction between past, present, and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion."

The greatest horrors of mankind, are brought about by religion ... people who want to bring about democracy to others, bring about christianity to others, bring about faith of muhammed to others ... it's almost like watching a movie Chronicles of Riddick, - join us or perish - attitude.

The universe is a vast context, within it there are planets and stars, systems that vary from the small to the huge. And all of these grow, they start out as a single bubble in space, and grow to hold plasma, into become planets. And although this is not tought to you, these planets grow and become stars, and stars grow and become ... supernovas.

This earth grows, and eventually it will become something majestic. Your purpose, and mine, is simply to be the digestive system of this planet. So if you believe in God, God is either this plnaet, or the Universe ... and neither this planet, nor the Universe is governed, dictated or benefitted from the doings of men. Eventually this planet will grow, to such a point that all life on it, as we know it, will become extinct ... life, will evolve to something else ...
Listening to religion, is listening to the words of the thugs.

Whose country is this, we live in? Mine? Yours? From the day I can do work, I have to pay taxes ... when I drive on these roads, I have to pay road taxes, and when I buy my house, I have to pay taxes. I am merely a tenant, in this country ... a tenant, paying tribute to someone ... and it sure ain't me. My children can go to school, and I can have a welfare check ... but both of these, are not meant to benefit me, but to benefit my King. As long as I have food on the table, and my children can go to school ... I am unlikely to raise hell, and make a revolution ... as was done before.

This isn't my country ... I'm just a tenant here ... this isn't my house, I'm just leasing it ... and the landlord, is making up rules, and using psychology to make me a good tenant. But to him, a good tenant, is one who pays his bills, and doesn't make much fuzz ... fuzz means, extended costs, and the landlord doesn't like it.

Wake up ...
