Let Russia do what they want in there - they've been wheelin' and dealin' in the Middle east for damn near EVER. What's new about this? It ain't us, nor our decision what Russia gets up to. we need to just keep our OWN noses clean in the matter.

Russia can do as Russia sees fit. What are they gonna do? Sell Syria ANOTHER T-52, a few thousand more AK's, and maybe a couple more Katushyas to sweeten the deal?

on the brightside we will finally find out the truth whether or not saddams WMDS ended up in syria

like too many people reported by no one ever listened to

We go in and start kicking over barstools, and the musical WMD's will just get shifted over to Hezbollah in Lebanon. Won't that be fun?

I reckon that IS one way of finding out where they end up, but I'm personally just not that curious about 'em.

I said to all those members who were just itching for us to help the poor Libyans with their Roach problem errr umm Qaddafi issue "We will be damned if we do and Damned if we don't" I was booed and hissed at, now look at that mess.

I was no fan of Qaddafi but still didn't want us going in but since we did the quickest way to end it is to cut the head of the snake off.

Funny you should say that. that's almost exactly, word-for-word, what the Syrian friend I mentioned above told me. He said "last 2000 years ago to now, always the War in Syria. The War don't stop in Syria. Same war, just different players." We go home after a hard day's work, kiss our wives and kick our dogs (or vice-versa), they go home after a hard day's work, and fight somebody.

OMG! We have those here too? There goes the neighborhood....

Seriously, you know it's BAD when even a war-mongering evil right-wing Neocon says "WHOA! Enuff's enuf! How 'bout a beer instead?"

No and hell no.

I'm sure there are better cost effective ways to get rid of dictators.

I know the feeling!

The thing is , Qaddafi had gotten AWFUL quiet in the past few years, and was content to just beat up his own little brothers at home. Seems to me that if we were gonna "git 'im", we ought to have done it back when he was getting rowdy all over the place, noit when he had settled down to just tear stuff up within his own borders.

Me either. has anyone got a thermometer? we need a temperature check, see if maybe he's running a fever...

Yeah, what he said! Assassination on a budget. Let's just call Hertz Rent-A-Assassin!

I'm all for that, rather than getting ourselves all heaved up in Syria as a nation.

Ya. Arm every citizen on earth. That way no dictator can take power or good people are gonna organize and take them out.

All people on earth should be in a militia. The America founders knew what they were talking about.

Sounds like a perfect job for Turkey. They seem to want to be a leader in the Middle East and they have slammed the Syrian government for its action against its civilians.

I dont see any difference between Libya and Syria.

All the more reason for Turkey to put up or shut up.

If they are that concerned about Syrian civilians being killed, then they should do something about it. Absent that im of the mindset to just let it go and be done with. Either the people in the Middle East will gain the freedom they want, or they will resign themselves to being killed by a dictator.

We shouldnt waste any more resources on that area at all (with the exception of Israel).

Meh.. Leave it to Turkey and be done with the entire rotten mess.

The sooner we all get out of that region the less they can blame on us. Im sure that would bring baout change even faster since countries like Iran would no longer have the great satan to blame for all their woes.

Nope! The Syrian opposition is just going to have to find cover! No more US intervention in the so-called Arab Spring or as some have been calling it the Arab Winter. However you want to refer to these uprisings is immaterial, but after Libya we are going to get a bitter taste in our mouths.

If I can recall, I have heard in news that thousands of shoulder fired missiles have gone missing in Libya. Hmm, I wonder where the rebels were? That is not good, and we have yet to hear about the nuclear materials as well. Time to stay out of this mess altogether and let the chips fall where they may. Besides Russia has a lot of play in Syria. Why don't they put the screws on Assad to stop all the carnage? I object to this request, and I hope the benevolent politicians in Washington do the same? Enough already!
