Well there you have it folks. News coverage. What he says, in my OPINION, are true. Police will walk away from getting political heat.

I'm glad to see this covered finally.

The sad part is, he could fill up his show every single day with new videos of police brutality.

I think it's sad more people arent being maced. Protesting scum shouldn't make the news. I'm tired of hearing about them. They need to get jobs. More need to be jailed. Maybe thy can learn how to do laundry or something productive.

Disgusting post, I had to login just to reply to this nonsense...

Why exactly are they scum?

Why jail more people? we already have the highest prison population...

What is so wrong about protesting against wall street? Is protesting not covered under our Constitution or something?

So because people exercise their right to publicly protest something they disagree with they are scum that deserve to be maced?

Crawl back under your bridge troll.

I'm pretty sure he's being sarcastic folks... No need to invoke the "troll" response... And his avatar is cool

These "officials" need to be jailed... You can't just pepper spray people for no reason, as it is clearly assault...

The big question though is, why is MSNBC finally getting it right and balanced? I think that they are trying to get the population of NYC to riot, so that they can really crack down! Think about it, today they called another news corp racist for accurately transcribing Obum's teleprompter speech, And now they get this story 100% correct! There's an elephant in the room!

Didn't see this and posted the video just now. I asked the mods to close mine. Either way, I was really impressed with this piece of journalism. I wish to add what I said in my topic:

I was there on the first day, then subsequently came back a week later on the day the police reacted to part of the group marching toward Union Square. At the height of the night, back in Zuccotti Park on Liberty St where the protest is holding, there were more police officers than I had ever seen in my life time. They had those orange nets with them, too. They backed off after hours of lining up, shuffling around their numbers, and driving by in lines of squad cars and trucks with sirens blaring.

I go back when I can, but I commend those that stay day and night.

This is why it is so important for people to have cameras ready to record these trespasses. The more people record the misbehavior, the less likely that a bad cop will get away with his actions. Some may even be persuaded to do their job the right way in fear of being recorded while being unnecessarily abusive. The beating and murder of the homeless man in California could have gone unnoticed and the cops would have gotten away with it if someone hadn't thought of recording the situation.

If people want to protest peacefully, they should be able to do so. I may not always agree with their reasons, but if they aren't hurting anyone, there's no justification for the arrests, the excessive force and the pepper spraying.

Agreed! The more and more people have access to any sort of video recording device, even as simple as their phone, the less likely police who abuse their power will act. That's my hope, anyway.

does anybody think these cops are trying to get the crowd to react violently? like an agent provocateur, they are needlessly attacking the people.

i think they are trying to make the crowd violent and then this story will make it to MSM tv. they'll take that opportunity to demonize the protestors.
