I took this pic while on vacation and always wondered.

How would you even tell the difference?

Either way there it is.

For reference it was taken at garden of the gods in Shawnee national forest.

It looks to me like vapor made by the exhaust of the planes engine. But hey, it could be a plan to kill us all(though, thats as crazy as it sounds).

It cropped the pic for some reason but it blends together behind the plane.

Edit
if you select view image from the context menu it has the whole thing
edit on 27-9-2011 by TheOven because: (no reason given)

Looks like a four-engine plane.....the far-side engines' contrails seem as one, because at that perspective they are "close together". The plane's contrail seems to confirm this, if you view further back in the photo (to the right).

IMO, I generally see Chemtrails as being a single line and usually in an "x" in the sky.
I think the photo shows a contrail, especially if the plane flew in one direction and there was no cross..

Well these trails form into one.

Hard to see how either start to form with the naked eye.

Are people that claim chemtrails observing like this? (The pic)

Maybe we need more pics of them being created like this to compare.

See that gap between the engines and where the vapor trail starts. That is a contrail.
When a plane disperses a smoke, liquid, or visible gas you won't find that gap.

So why are there no photos of "Chemtrails" without such a gap?

Contrail. No one can tell the difference (there isn't one), ever notice how no one has ever gotten a picture of a "chemtrail"?

The gap mentioned is typical of the formation of moisture from a hot jet exhaust - it comes out as invisible water vapour, then has to cool down enough to form ice.

This cooling take a bit of time - not much because most of it, AFAIK, is actualy done by the drop in pressure - inside the engine the air is compressed to as much as 30 times the outside pressure - so once it comes out the exhaust ther is a very rapid drop in pressure that also causes a rapid drop in temperature.

As others have said - if you are spraying from nozzles then you don't get that.

So has anyone taken a similar picture of a plane that was supposedly spraying chemical trail?

Just pointing to the already formed trails in the sky is proof of nothing, you can't tell what it is or what caused it.

This wasn't a difficult shot to take either.

I used a simple cannon pocket camera, no tripod, no setup.

Seems since it is so easy to see this is a contrail that it would be just as easy to photograph a chemtrail.

Chemtrails debunked?

Oh yes - hundreds...thousands of them.......

Trouble is they all look like contrails!

Either that or they go off on a tangent and say that cloud seeding is chemtrails, or crop dusting, or spraying oil dispersant, etc is chemtrails to avoid the "hard question" - which is why is it that all their "chetmrails" look exactly like contrails?

Not really up on all the info regarding chemtrails.

Could someone post a similar "chemtrail" pic for comparison?

I would like to see the difference.

There you go.. of course two of those are water bombers and one is a crop duster. To the conspiracy theorists' credit you could easily use these planes to disperse the types of chemical they are talking about.. and the trail certainly is thicker and wider than a typical contrail. That said.. I don't think there is much credit to this theory but I am glad they are busy dissecting it so that if anything credible comes of it we'd find out.

I know there are planes capable of dispersing things.

Where are the pics of actual "chemtrails" being dispersed from a plane.

As in, a chemtrail in action like the pic I provided.

The first image is not a water bomber, it is a normal jet producing heavy contrails from each engine. The gap between the contrails and and the engines is not visible because of the camera angle.

So none of the chemtrail proponents have any pictures of chemtrails to share?

Not stock photos, ones they have taken.

Yeah, hiding the gap behind the engine does not mean it's not there.

Here's the original image:

It's just a very unusual perspective. It was taken from the cockpit of another plane, probably jsut a thousand feet of so lower, so it's nearly head on.

From the comments in other threads people seem to believe that the chemtrails are prevalent over the areas they live.

However no one photographs them in process?

I have found more pictures of ufos then chemtrails.
