A voice of reason amid the madness

english.aljazeera.net

"I hear all this, 'well, this is class warfare, this is whatever'. No. There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own. Nobody. You built a factory out there? Good for you. But I want to be clear:

You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for; you hired workers the rest of us paid to educate; you were safe in your factory because of police forces and fire forces that the rest of us paid for. You didn't have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory, and hire someone to protect against this, because of the work the rest of

There are still people in this world still fighting for the people. I'm not saying that you should vote for her or anything like that but just as I was starting to wonder if anyone in this world was willing to recognize the wrongs of society and do something about it I saw this article. She is an academic breaking into politics.

Change is possible, I've said it before and I will say it again. Do not give up on this place, for this is our lives, our world and our reality.

You could also say that none of the roads, police, and fire departments
could not of brought in any money WITHOUT the businesses that they
protect. Al-jazz-eara/the writer is playing class warfare without you realizing it.
They all do..

There is good in the world! People are constantly fighting for what they believe in everyday. There's probably some teenager getting arrested right now in the high school for exercising his or her rights. Some people I know ask why I continue to "play around" on these forums and the answer is simple. I care about Earth, humanity so much that through the idiosyncrasies of the world, I have faith in the human race. There are hundreds of online games (look at that recent Enigma game on here) and such that prove that if we work together, we can accomplish anything. So yeah, don't give up, this place still needs us. Even when it seems like we should throw in the towel, don't give up.

I was confused at to what the title had to do with the topic, so, upon reading the beginning:

With those words, Elizabeth Warren cemented her reputation as a person who knows how to speak to Americans about progressive values in a way that seems to have eluded almost every other public figure in America. There's just something about the way she talks in plain prairie English that makes people listen - and scares even the most hardened businessman and compromised politician into paying attention.

Now she's declared her candidacy in Massachusetts, hoping to parlay that ability into a seat in the most powerful big money club in America, the US Senate, and make them listen too.

Agreed,

It's funny how often politicians and people for that matter will boost their own image by demoting that of others,

I just liked the fact that for once the people who are the most shut down in society were the ones being elevated,

Someone admitted to the fact that these CEO's were not there upon their own merits but because of the foundation that has dominated since the 1980's and even before.
