Very eerie that is, great updates mate.

elenin or not the fact clearly remains it definatly is the solar activity causing some trouble down on earth right now.

for any new information, but the only power outage I can see is the recent washington usa link, this was in the description.

Thousands of customers were without power Sunday afternoon in scattered outages caused by windy weather. The strongest gusts were in Tacoma at 43 mph, Blaine at 42 mph and downtown Seattle at 41 mph. A wind advisory remained in effect for Western Washington from Whatcom County southward to the South Puget Sound region until 6 p.m. Another strong weather system will bring heavy rain and high winds to Western Washington on Monday. Up to a quarter inch of rain is possible in the lowlands. A power outage in the Queen Anne and Magnolia areas of Seattle affected nearly 13,000 customers. [color=RED]The cause of that outage was not known. High winds knocked out power to people in North City, between Shoreline and Lake Forest Park. A KING 5 viewer said three people were trapped in a van when power lines fell in the Lake Stickney area. No one was hurt. A tree fell onto Northup Way and 162nd in Bellevue, narrowly missing a home. No one was hurt. Woodinville, Carnation, and east Redmond had 4,000 people without power. On Vashon Island, 1,800 customers were are out due to a tree in a overhead powerline. There were scattered outages in Whatcom and Skagit counties.

the only uncertainty with the story I have highlighted in red, it seams more than likely strong winds have some implication to this event, and solar activity is a big question mark.

oh snap, no power no wifi >_> if im not about then you know why.

not sure if its related but we,ve just had a power cut for approx 1/2 hour. we very rarely have power cuts here. located in the channel islands uk

I get what your saying.I have been lurking for 4 or 5 months at the quakes and yesterday i started seeing small quakes in the middle of continents and almost started a thread.But let us know if your opinion changes after you look closer.However it could be just me looking for something that is not there.

I'm in the state of Indiana. The power goes out here sometimes if someone sneezes too hard, and everything here is fine and dandy like sour candy

Edit: P.S. We are approaching solar maximum, we don't need a magic comet for intense solar activity

The pressure scale "pegs" very early on the RTMS.
Pressure is 4.1nPa. Not unusually high. The reason for the rise was a short increase in density.

wonder if skip is happening????

My husband is a ham operator and
he just told me he is getting a lot of
skip this afternoon, not so much
this morning. The CB band has
been picking up a lot of long distance
locations as well.

I totally understand. To those not familiar with earthquake activity it can seem far more ominous than it is. Just know that anything UNDER 5.0 is not even considered a quake, rather a tremor only. We have 100s every single day. If you compare the seismic activity with a fault line map you can often track the energy moving along one of them. As a rule the deeper they are the less damage they cause (not always) so I would be watching the swallow ones too.

I will tilt my head and raise my brow if we have a sudden influx of real quakes 5.0 or higher, I will start filling anything I can find to hold water if I see several over 6.0 in less than 24hrs.

Here in Alaska we most commonly got skip from Russia and believe it or not... Louisiana and Kentucky..that was back in the 70's though.

45 miles south of Houston Texas.

Everything is fine here. I have not seen nor heard of anything abnormal happening in this area.

Maybe we are protected because Johnson Space Center is located here?
