I tried with ff 6.0.2, tried with ff 7. There's a new release now, ff 7.0.1.

I do get a different error now.

This has become a bane for me....

Believe me, I will whoop and hollar once I figure this out!

Thanks for helping out. At least I know it should work with my config.

one question i forgot to ask

are you running any script blocking extensions(add-ons)?

could be one of them that is interfering.

One of my tests was to disable all the add ons, then enable them one at a time. Currently, I just have the java and flash addons enabled. Can you tell me which ones you are running?

all i've got running at the moment is java quick starter and adblock plus

i just tried getting into chat and i still had to refresh the chat page to get into chat
but i am in.

Ok, after stepping away and letting my hair re-grow back in, I found another hapless soul who can't get into chat either.

Here's her rant, and I opened my error console and refreshed the chat window four times. That is the ONLY error, line 38, that I am getting now.

After the latest upgrades to ATS this particular thread is obsoleted.

I just logged into chat with XP, FF 7.0.1, and it shot me right into the chat.

NO refresh, NO waiting. Nearly instant.

Here's the link to the spot where S.O. and crew fixed it. I'll build a shrine there.

Just for giggles, I'll log into Linux and try a few configs, but I do think they got it fixed.

thanks for the heads up about chat being fixed.
i cant get in now because it's 150 posts or so lol,
but thats ok.

did snowspirit also make it into chat now since the new chat is up?
or still having problems getting into chat?
