It seems that the only issue here is the age difference between Mr Freeman and his STEP granddaughter. As for myself, I don't have a problem with this marriage. It, in no way, has any impact my life. I wish Mr. Freeman and his wife all the best of luck in their marriage. While it is true that he is old, and she is young, there is NO blood relation here!! Therefore there is no incest.

Do you have a child?

If so would you let them engage in a relationship with your mate's father?

Let them? Really "let them"?? Man people still trying to shackle everyone else to their world views.

What is not moral about this? No blood relation. Maybe the age thing is odd to most, but what is there to FEAR from an oddity.

Kill a man for walking on his hands

Isn't it funny.... Morgan Freeman accuses the Tea Party of racism and say they're "After Obama" and now all of a sudden, the dirt is being dished...

You know he was cheating on his wife with his child's step child right? (I guess marriage isn't what it used to be)

She was 17, still under the guardianship of her parents. . . .

You didn't even read the article did you?

The only sickness is getting in the way of any consensual relationship or interaction. If it's not consensual I will leave that to those who are actually there and close to the family to deal with as they find most appropriate.

I wasn't asked, and neither were you.

Namaste.

Because you *did* invite me as a member here to comment on your perspective by posting it.

And yes, including the relationship with his wife. That is their issue to deal with, and the fact is you don't know anything about what was or was not going on day to day in any of those people's lives, nor what is actually going to be best for them going forward... and what circumstances would arise that would allow them to finally make those moves.

I have no sympathy for infidelity as a general, however I also know better than to believe I have any position to judge their actions and especially no position to judge the "sickness". I get that you have a view of the world that you believe must be right and therefore must be able to make determinations of sick/healthy good/bad, etc... and that is yours to hold. I hold the view that far greater sickness is maintained in this world by those who feel the need to tell someone else what they should or shouldn't do... who they should or shouldn't be.

Namaste

ed gein is sick

I agree.. But Woody Allen is sick...he married his adopted daughter whom he first met when she was 6....

Not blood related... But still. He raised her as his daughter.... How do you hook up with some one that you met when they were 6 and you an adult?

I suppose it has nothing to do with his fame or wealth though ? lol

Isnt that statuatory rape? Maybe Freemans character isnt the only one that needs to be discussed

Yea I have and he is marrying a 27 year old woman which was reported in 09 meaning this woman now atleast 30 years of age. She is NOT under the guardianship of anyone, but herself.

When they state that "they were maintaining a 10 year relationship" what that could mean is OBSCURE (go figure coming from a source like yahoo, thats MSM for ya). Doesn't explicity state Freeman was pokin her.
Listen you are looking at from one angle.

What about the younger woman wanting to date her grandfather? Sounds to me Freeman is just giving money away to these women so consider it a charity service. Better then spreading the herp amongst the brothers of the Skull and Bones fraternity.

Freeman is one of the more stand up hollywood actors. nothing wrong here just a differnce in opinion move along...

Oh I guess you did not read the article. . .

Yes, they are not related through blood, but Freeman is 72 and E’Dena Hines is now 27, which means she would have been 17 when they first... um... got together.

Once Freeman's wife found out about their secret affair she filed for divorce

Yes there was intimate relations between the step child of Morgan's own child. . . and Morgan.

You really see nothing wrong here?

I remember catching some show that was dedicated to Morgan Freeman, the thing that caught my eye was the look on Freeman's face, he had this guilty look, like he did not deserve his little ceremony... Now I know why he looked that way! He's like Herbert the Pervert from Family Guy.

When you are an old man and RICH AS HELL, you will have a long line of women to pick from, even if they are your step-grandchild (the daughter of his step child) (ewww) (double-ewwww).

Reminds me of the Beverly Hillbillies in a way. All Hollywood sophisticated, but handling family business like a backwoods Appalachia family.

Back in the early part of the 20th century and before, it was common for 21 year old guys to marry girls that were 14 years old or so...and it was also socially accepted back then.. People then might have said "oh, isn't that sweet?"

I guess it is different when the guy is in his 70's

Deep down, most men would love to be able to do this without the social stigma in place today..

What has stopped me in the past is the fact that I couldn't stand being paired up to some young whining crybaby.

I ended up marrying a nice lady that is only 10 years younger than me instead..

She is from another country, and when my Mother asked me "how old is she"? I told her well... She's 14, but her family has signed all of the special paperwork, so it is no problem
(as a joke of course).. she was actually 34 at the time..
her jaw dropped and she looked like she might feint at the time.. was too funny..
