It's moving to the west with each orbit. The last pass was off the East Coast. This one was up through the middle of the States.

How long for one entire orbit of the planet?
or basically in dumb speak, how long does it take to get from one line on the map to the next?
I love when I have company in English diction!!!
One line? Which one. The one that goes Latitude or....hmmm this will be difficult. Ah hell, I give up....or the other way?

A satellite is in freefall. Zero G. Or close enough to it.

Skies are mostly clear hear in SE Michigan. I hope they stay that way. I would like to see this thing if it does fly overhead during re entry.

The satellite is moving in a generally easterly direction (NE, SE...it's all easterly-ish), but each successive orbit shifts to the west (because, as Phage pointed out, the Earth is rotating to the east "below" it).edit on 23-9-2011 by CLPrime because: (no reason given)

When is this thing suppose to make reentry? Will the fire ball be visible from central Florida? [/quote

Latest Space Command prediction is for entry across Africa in about 5 hours, just predawn over there. The track runs from Nigeria down across Namibia and South Africa, If it does come in there, expect a lot of fireball sightings and videos. Maybe even a few UFO reports.

82 minutes now, apparently. It's travelling at 7.81 km/s (4.85 mi/s). At that speed, I could get to the nearest mall in under 10 seconds. In fact, I could get to Shag Harbour in about half a minute.
