Meh, it'll be a passing fad. Any decent 3d artist can recreate any of those video game characters, and they do in lots of cases. Remember "Nude
Raider?" That stuff is available all over the web.
While those are all clearly CG, total realism can be and has been acheived soley using a computer. One day when animation becomes easier I can see
problems developing with 3d porn - essentially there are no limits and any kind of scene the artist wants to make can be realized. Would that lead to
paedophilia? Technically, it might not be illegal in a lot of places because there are no real people involved. Snuff films, violent porn, basically
anything can be simulated. Is that good because real people won't come under harm to cater to that black market, or is it bad because that would
allow such a thing to become commonplace?
