The fish are my canary in a coal mine, if they start acting funny I'll know to stay away from it.

After the satellite is safely hiden in that pond of yours,
and the fish start to grow legs and extra eyes, I would for sure not eat them!!

I wonder is NASA could pinpoint its landing to ones yard? hmmmmm

I dont reccommend touching anything from space w/o FULL understanding believe it or not SOME THINGS that MAY be in space bio may not burn up totally and if not and terrestial encounters then OFF TO SUB BASE YOU GO FOR BIO EVAL...
Throughout this book, many of the references to actual events are
based on the experiences of both of the authors. However, in this
area of UFOs and their potential, we are relying largely on the
research and experiences of Charles Bahme. Chuck has made a
considerable study of this subject and is acquiring many publications
and VCR tapes to augment his library on this and related phenomena.
His interest in UFOs was greatly heightened when Congress in 1969
adopted a law (14 CFR Ch. V Part 1211--Extraterrestrial Exposure)
which gave the NASA Administrator the arbitrary discretion to
quarantine under armed guard any object, person, or other form of
life which has been extraterrestrially exposed. The very fact that our
congressmen believed there was a necessity for such drastic authority
made Chuck wonder if they had only our astronauts in mind when they
adopted it. Could it be applied to anyone who has had a UFO
encounter? Whether it has or not is not likely to be a topic for
public dissemination.

www.v-j-enterprises.com...

The Extra-Terrestrial Exposure Law (14 CFR §1211 of the Code of Federal Regulations) was the popular name for a United States administrative regulation promulgated in 1969 to prevent the spread of biological contamination from space. Implemented before the Apollo 11 mission, it provided the legal authority for a quarantine period for the returning astronauts.[1] The regulation included a definition of exposure as

the state of condition of any person, property, animal or other form of life or matter whatever, who or which has touched directly or come within the atmospheric envelope or any other celestial body or touched directly or been in close proximity (or exposed indirectly to) any person, property, animal or other form of life or matter who or which has been extraterrestrially exposed by virtue of paragraph (b)(1) of this section.[2]
Quarantining of astronauts on the first lunar missions was mandated in 1969 to prepare for "the remote possibility that they are harboring unknown lunar organisms that might endanger life on earth",[3] and the Apollo 11 voyagers were kept in quarantine for 21 days after their return from the moon. After the completion of the Apollo 14 mission, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) stopped enforcing the regulation, though it remained on the books. On April 30, 1971, NASA's acting administrator, Dr. George M. Low, was quoted as saying,

On the basis of this analysis [of quarantine information from Apollo 14], as well as the results from the Apollo 11 and 12 flights, we have concluded there is no hazard to man, animals or plants in the lunar material... the interagency committee has recommended that further lunar missions need not be subject to quarantine"[4]
The rule was formally removed from the Code of Federal Regulations in 1991. [5]

Phage you said Norad data.

Gpredict uses Norad data - " Fast and accurate real-time satellite tracking using the NORAD SGP4/SDP4 algorithms. " That's not the same as your talking about?

( I reposted this from my edit on page 3. I wanted to be sure you could see this to answer it)

It's come up but I haven't heard a difinitive answer on the radiation issue, would these peices be dangerous? I know the chances of these things hitting land are somewhere between slim and non existent much less landing in my yard, just curious.

I am one that tries to look outside the box and find extra pieces through out all of the news. One thing I find interesting is all the government in Denver today and thier "exercises" they plan. The media have been informed about explosions that they might hear.

Solar activity can affect re-entry of UARS satellite
In addition, a large flare, categorized as an X1.4 class flare, peaked on September 22 at 7:01 AM ET. The output of this particular flare could increase the draft on satellites at heights of 300 miles by up to about 50%, but at UARS' current altitude of about 110 miles, it will only experience a change in drag of under 1%,
www.physorg.com...

The satellite (UARS) might have some radiation from direct sun contact, (something like that)
there is no nuclear or radioative materials onboard UARS itself..
So I would guess it would be like a TSA body scan..

I found this cheap version on Google but it seems to be tracking something and I clicked right onto it. No 'busy server'

I find it suspicious that the Fox news tracker page switched to a google earth plugin with little or no info, all of the other tracking sites seem to be down this just after they announced the USA could be back in the possible strike zone..and we cant even get an application that tracks it in real time.

Well this is a conspiracy site so i'm seeing em. Could they now be hiding the live data on purpose?

Ah the plot thickens!!!!!

I guess it is not just me wondering..

It could be just all the web traffic it is getting right now..

but (ALWAYS a but)
They might not WANT us to know where UARS is at..

I just started a thread but might as well ask here too; Is this the UARS? I think it's going too slow.

Thanks, I never knew why it seems some things from space are safe while others are deadly and I had no idea radioactive materials where built into any satellite. Obviously I need to beef up my knowledge on these things, thanks again.

I do not think it is UARS.

From all accounts and information I can gather,
it is still up there, NASA just warned it could still hit the USA.

There are a lot of fake youtube videos going around,

heavens-above.com... URAS tracker is still up.

Great sight BTW for all star and satellite gazing. The ISS, satellite, and Iridium flare passes are a great way to amaze your friends. Plug in your location and get all visible passes, you choose the brightness, and you can set your watch by them.
