This thread was interesting before I checked SpaceWeather to find the following notice:

MAJOR X-FLARE + CME UPDATE: Earth-orbiting satellites have detected a long-duration X1.4-class solar flare coming from a new sunspot on the sun's eastern limb. The blast, which peaked at 1100 UT, produced a significant coronal mass ejection (CME). Using data from the SOHO-STEREO fleet of spacecraft, analysts at the Goddard Space Weather Lab have modeled the trajectory of the CME and concluded that the body of the cloud will not hit Earth. A minor glancing encounter with the outskirts of the CME is, however, possible on Sept. 25th.

The timing is interesting.. but the current models show it will not directly hit Earth. Veery interesting though..

While i was reading the bit about the flash in the sky, it reminded me of a theory by a guy called Robert Felix. He thinks evidence points to a magnectic reversal causing an explosion in the atmosphere.

He thinks that evolution is connected to these events as well. Have a look and see if anything he says sounds familiar.

I'm going to go out on a limb here. In the past I've had the ability to predict some things, and its never years in advance. It's usually a matter of seconds to a minute. My friend used to take me to the Casino as i could generally pick the right numbers in roulette. About 10 years ago I went for a drive through an old (now burnt down by bushfires) town at night with a family member to relax and i mentioned to my relation that something weird was about to happen. Within about 30 seconds after a few more corners we came to a straight with a cloak wearing weirdo standing in the middle of the road holding an inverted crucifix to our car. No matter which way i turned 'it' kept walking in front, trying to get hit. After a bit of cat n mouse i got past, and 'it' threw the crucifix at the car. I later learned there is a weird cult living in the town. The ability also translates to knowing what someone is about to say, using the exact words which (if i catch it quick enough) i usually say to my wife before it happens. The hardest part is knowing which parts are info and which are just my own thoughts. My mum has a similar ability so i guess it went with the DNA.

That is how i rather un-remarkably pick things up. For this reason i do not doubt that people have prophecy dreams, but narrowing it to a date and time i find highly unlikely. Also the OP posted the last thread in May 2010, so it's hardly two years. By that date, everyone was well aware of the Mayan '2012' prediction, so I hardly call this ground-breaking. Also OP, if what you say is going to happen, you'd want more than a set of oven mitts, unless they're titanium with diamond coating. You'd also want to pack your 2 million strength sunblock.

There is so much fear-driven drivel around on this site lately, that some people start to dream(day) about it.

I believe flares could cause issues over the next couple of years, but this story is far fetched, and I'm going to call poo on this one.

I put it at 6-8pm local time where i am, and i will personally guarantee that this rapture will not take place. If it does, I'll crack a dozen eggs on my face and take a photo.

Like I said earlier his appointment is probably to see a Nut Job doctor!

Don't be silly now, Apologize. It's a public forum, people don't need to apologize because they get their vision or prediction wrong. The only reason why people get angry at predictions/visions is because they invest so much into them. People should take these things with a pinch of salt!

YES you are right they don't need to apologize to anyone least of all me, but they should to themselves. how easy is it to say I predict this or how easy is it to say I am right or I told you so but how hard is it to say I was wrong?

Please look up the composition of comets. The falling satellite is about the same mass.

I am not big into prophesies and have never really made a serious prediction nor will I now but,......

I have had....."visions" if you will for at least ten years now of me and my wife huddled in a corner of a basement
with our two kids after.....something catastrophic happened. It has always nagged at me.
Especially for the first couple of years.

Well, My wife and I got a divorce about 7 yrs ago so, and I am re-married and while it still nagged at me, I gave it less attention because....well......we are divorced and not prone to being in the same building together or spending ANY amount of time together whatsoever, save meeting and exchanging with the kids and....my current wife would not be too fond of her and I being in a position of being alone in a basement together.
I could see NO WAY of this EVER playing its self out so I have just kind of kept sweeping it aside for the past several years.

Now I get a call from my dad sunday saying that my Grandmother has died and in her will she wanted to
fly ME,my DAD, my EX-WIFE, and our two kids out to Washington state where she lives/lived for her funeral.
Flights have already been arranged and paid for and everything is a GO!

We will all be staying at HER house for the weekend!!!!!

Dun Dun DUn!!!!!

I hope she doesn't have a basement is all I am sayin'.
