I think, like me, he is trying to get into the chat to collaborate with other members working on the puzzle though

hey thorn and Druid

when ya get that disclaimer, accept it
then once the url changes to "atschat.php?agree=yes" at the end
it'll be that grey screen

refresh and wait a little while, it shouldn't take too long to get into chat after that

also, just incase, either of you are running any kind of blockers
try to disable it for chat
even though i had one running and it wasnt interfering
and in the case of an anti-virus, disable it for that chat page only (Xcalibur254 mentioned this)

hope this helps somewhat

Marshall

Well, if that clue is referring to the BP deal... which I have a gut feeling it is, then it may be located somewhere in this thread:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

There is only a slight problem though, it's 275 pages long.

Off to do some digging in there.

I cannot access the chat either. I bet we are both using google chrome and that is the solution to this mystery! When I click chat it pops up with a disclaimer and stays gray.

You need 10 posts to get into chat. I am using google chrome and am able to access chat just fine. If you could, post your computer specs, such as what OS are you using? (Windows, Linux, Apple, etc.... Windows xp, vista, 7, etc) What browser? (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, etc). Do you have a 32 bit or 64 bit operating system? Are you running any anti-virus software, if so what brands (Avast, norton, spyblocker, etc)

I am available for other chat methods for quasi-tech support, aim, skype, (facebook If I HAVE to), whatever you use for social networking. etc... someone more technically minded should probably assume this role, haha

I am so late with the clues...I got the clue now and went back through the recap and found the 147 already led to the next clue. Ok. now on to Russia.

Feel free to join the massive joint effort we have going on right now. Someone has a list somewhere of who's covering what pages. So hopefully they'll post in here with what's not being checked right now.

Based on what I am researching into this I done a search on Tulane and Ocean and came up with this...

Hey, from your article- "It does appear that there is a Corexit sort of fingerprint in the blob samples that we ran," Erin Gray, a Tulane biologist, told the Huffington Post Thursday. Two independent tests are being run to confirm those findings, "so don't say that we're 100 percent sure yet," Gray said. "The chemistry test is still not completely conclusive," said Tulane biology professor Caz Taylor, the team's leader. "But that seems the most likely thing." Wow, sounds like some great scientific verbiage there! Tell me when they actually have something to report.

I found it in this article

www.abovetopsecret.com...

which would relate to both my proposed Tulane-Obama hint and Ocean Watch, I am unsure if the middle was Oceaneering or Ocean Ering... but the guy qouted in this article may be what we are looking for as in Erin G. Ocean Watch. I am unsure of how to find the Jpg in the source, so if someone jumps on it, it may be our next clue.

OK here is a greenpeace article about protestors in London. Greenpeace is about ocean watching...

www.abovetopsecret.com...

It was about shutting down BP

I'm doing just that.

Searching specifically for: oceaneering to occur as a word in that thread, then I'll check sourcecode next.
Game on!

I don't know what to look for in the source code. I am sure we are on BP now, and the thread I found is about London, Greenpeace and BP. What should I look for in the source code?

That was me. We are checking www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread587933 right now. Updates about the deepwater horizon. I will copy and paste the latest I have regarding progress on this thread.

BeyondTheFold: 1-100 (working forwards)

IntegratedInstigator: 177-200 (working backwards)

PhilosophyOfPeace: 262-275 (working backwards)

Sage2000: 100-114 (working forwards)

Edit: BTF searched 100 pages. We have 150+ pages searched now, still no leads... Chat room things we have gone astray and need to update our tactics.... This post will serve as a 'save-game' of sorts.

Please include in your updates to remove options from your lists of potential leads. Our efforts thus far have proved unfruitful. We need to start expanding our imaginations and think outside the box.

remember the very beging, when there was no clues, just the website.
we had a pic, enigma-amgine, "changing the past, to better the future"
as above so below.
i think there is alot more depth to some of the intial clues, and i believe a few theories have pulled some "clues" off track. I started back at the beging and within 1 and a half hours, I was finding better cohesion to some of the story. I was a little diluted with hundreds of directions.
Ill post my findings tommaro, itll take a while to put my notebook on here.

lll
watched blade runner, and 12 monkeys last night. before spending a few hours doing the above stated.
looking for any homages. dont know if i found any but had a damn good time.

Just a thought before bed.

An oceaneering watch could also mean Tsunami Watch.

Back later after some sleep.

hey Druid

i've placed the entire chat with SO in my Sig

i'll keep adding a new entry for each new one
while updating the original link for the full one

this way you wont need to keep adding all the diff pages

if that made sense

Marshall

That makes perfect sense to me. Kudos to you on original thinking. However, it will be hard for everyone to download updated files, which are static, and I'd prefer to keep everything instantly accessible for everyone. Perhaps you could follow Xcalibur254's example, and make a google docs to update. Of course, you'll have to run it through tinyurl .com, because the google link is too long for ATS to process.

That method is perpetually updated. Like Xcal, all you would have to do is personally go to your own account, update what you want, and the link on ATS stays the same. If ya need help with google docs, feel free to u2u.

And, yes, you are spot on with doing everything we can to condense information. I have 5000 characters to make a recap, and the last two, I had less than 400 characters left, and I had to trim. By utilizing those methods listed above, I can trim a sizable chunk out of the recaps. It's also called being efficient.
