Alex Jones isn't even a Christian. He was interviewed in 1998 by Salt for Slugs magazine and said, quote:

"[snip] Satan, [snip] Jesus, [snip] em all"

Here is the article where he said it: docs.google.com...

Here is the full question and answer:

S.F.S.: Do you really think that the reason they do the things they do is because of Satanism?

Alex: No, Tony Brown of Tony Brown’s Journal says that. He just came out about it. The Order of the Illuminati, Adam Wieshaupt, Ingledstat, 1776... It’s on the records, it’s true. The guy was trying to overthrow Bavaria, and he had a bunch of rich and powerful people on his side. As the token aim at the end of this thing, at the end of this whole discussion, they would have their members swear allegiance to Lucifer, who they think is equal to God. Back then, everyone was Christian. So how do you get somebody to be rebellious, to prove that they’re now in the cult, or now in the organized crime ring? You get them to do something that is so outrageous. The mob burns pictures of saints and cut themselves when they become made man. Why? Because good Italian boys that love (The Virgin) Mary and all the rest of that. To them, that’s a dirty, nasty thing. outrageous. The mob burns pictures of saints and cut themselves when they become made man. Why? Because good Italian boys that when they become made man. Why? Because good Italian boys that love (The Virgin) Mary and all the rest of that. To them, that’s a dirty, nasty thing. love (The Virgin) Mary and all the rest of that. To them, that’s a dirty, nasty thing. To me, [snip] Satan, [snip] Jesus, [snip] em all.

Now despite this, Jones certainly pretends to be a Christian these days, and he probably has converted a few weak-minded people to that religion.

What do we think about this flip flop from Jones? Is it just another of his 100s of lies in order to be accepted by Christian America, or a case of, he used to be an atheist, but now he's suddenly found Jesus?

He pretends to believe because there is money to be made in big religion.
He's no different than a thousand other shills - except his product is "conspiracy"

we all said stuff back in 1998 that we dont believe in now.

Like people cant change their minds?

ATS has changed my mind about many different subjects.

OP , do you have a one track mind?

Please say yes. So your thread can be valid.

Well, actually Jones has said on radio countless times that he's been a Christian his whole life, so it isn't just changing mind. It's a lie. Although I can never it's a lie for sure, I'm not gullible and have seen enough televangelist TV shows to know a Charlatan when I see one.

How do I even know the information posted on the OP is real and not a hoax?

Why have you joined ATS just to smear Alex Jones?

Now i'm not a huge fan of the guy but come on stop with these threads!

^^ No?

If you get to tell people to stop trying to educate people about jones, then we get to tell the joneses to stop trying to get people to watch his exaggerated rhetoric and bluster.

Only fair, no? Cannot have it both ways.

edit - lol exaggerated rhetoric... I R redundant..

You know these threads attempting to discredit people are not on. You are diminishing peoples right to make up their own minds, and follow who the hell they like. You can not know enough about a person from reading stuff on teh net and watching videos.

Suddenly ATS is full of hate Alex Jones sheep because people follow what appears to be the norm in order to fit in.

These attempts to alert people that blind faith in a man known to lie and use his loud voice to silence opposing views, you mean?

I love that you go and assume everyone who feels this man is nothing more than a stooge, are sheep following in line..

I kinda think we're theones NOT sucking down the jones cool-aid here.. But you guys carry on... he'll be right about something else sometime soon, with his hit and miss 'prophecies'...

a thousand monkeys with a thousand typewriters, you know..

Well you assume I'm a fan, I'm not.

If you don't like the guy, just don't pay him any attention.

I was trying to make a point that people DO follow what they perceive as the norm in order to fit in. You see this in society all the time. It's how they control popular thought and actions, through the MSM.

I couldn't care less about Alex Jones, but I do care that some people seem to only focus on a few negatives that they dig up, and ignore everything else when they're agenda is to discredit someone, or something. I mean the evidence I've seen that he lies seem pretty slim.

But so what if people want to listen to him? When he starts telling people to kill their parents, you might actually have something to alarm people about.

People change their religious and political views. Last I checked, I wasn't worshipping at the Holy Christian Church of Alex Jones. Depending on him for my spiritual salvation. What a laugh.

"100's of lies" try 100's of mistakes or instances of leaping without enough evidence. Quite frankly, I don't care. I don't see evidence that he's anything more than a well-meaning loudmouth who has a lot of the right ideas and sometimes the wrong ideas. He crusades for the truth, he has a daily talk show and talks nonstop about these issues, he's bound to get tons of things wrong. Only 100 some in what, 10 years? So then mathematically he's right about 97% of the time. And you're mad about the 3%. Get bent.

I am more curious as to your obvious obsession with Alex Jones. Do you find him attractive? Are you stalking him? Do you just want an autograph?

Seriously...have you made a thread yet that was not attacking Alex Jones?

As far as your OP... so what? He can pretend he is the Easter Bunny for all I care, that does not change the information at all. So what is more important? The message or the messenger?

Years ago I claimed to be Christian, then I actually made the mistake of thinking and realized how silly Christianity was.

Interesting but in just under 50% of the OP's 39 posts he has railed on AJ. Like the guy or not, he has a following and continues to garner followers. How many people have you told about fluoride?

BTW, I know I've said things in the heat of the moment in 1998 that I wish I could take back.

I say "Dare to be different!" I suspect we'll be seeing a lot more newcomers try to smear anyone that does not fall into the "norm."

I was against Christianity before I believed in it. I believe I may have said similar things.

I think Alex Jones is a nutjob. And it is entirely possible that he would play a persona for money (many people who are unprincipled would).

Regardless, as Emerson said, "consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds." Especially after a decade, I would expect a persons opinions to change. I have had 10 years of fairly decent meditation, and have a whole different awareness and worldview compared to 10 years ago.

You've made 2 points here.

(1) Someone is popular, and therefore they are good (wow, talk about sheeple, right?)

(2) Fluoride is bad. Well, the US has about 1 part per million fluoride in the tap water, and that does no damage. If you started putting upwards of 8 parts per million like in Nazi death camps, you would run into problems. So.... Jones telling you about fluoride didn't help much, did it?
