For what is worth, the pics are at least intriguing.
It doesn't look like a satellite dish, to me, I don't see the cavity of it, not on the upper part nor bellow.
On the other side it seems too small to be a real UFO. Or is it?
Who knows?
But the question "would they dare...on plain sight?" it's what bothers me. :bnghd:
Thanks for posting this.

Gando Has already given the answer but again you have shown that we act as our own censor.

The best kept secrets are always those hidden in plain sight and most if not all of us would dismiss something being treated as unimportant as unimportant.

In effect I am saying we should be thinking what questions we should be asking rather than just jump to our own rationalised answers.

BTW Gando, are you sure they are not making another underground base? (joking of course, probably)

If it were a UFO would it have been transported in the open for all the world to see? Nope!

So it's anything other than a flying saucer! And therefore not really worth losing any sleep over it!

Yeah, no kidding. Haha I'm pretty sure the day that I went on the tour, they were drilling towards the lake, but who knows, that could have been a diversion.

No, but really...it's a drill bit.

southwest.construction.com...

Here's a story on the project, and it shows the drill. The bit isn't attached, because the entire thing has to be disassembled, and then lowered into the shaft, and then reassembled before they can drill.

Peace.

Amazing the imaginations that have no critical thinking associated. Just a shape sets off wild speculation, but no one takes into consideration how public this is, full daylight non military and scant protection?

Really people when you get the answer you continue such worthless speculation?

News corporations love this stuff. They can use it for jokes and silly comments that maintain a public scorn of the issue and help deflect the real stories of importance.

Please, think in a wider field of intelligence. Don't give them more examples they can use to discredit the whole genera out of hand.

Can you not see that your answer shows that if they wanted to transport something this way they easily could?

I dont really care what was on the back of the lorry. This could be a good opportunity to discuss how we are managed by ourselves and others.

I imagine it is tilted so it doesn't take up 3 lanes of the freeway.

Interesting pics anyway.

I wasn't censoring myself I simply had not read his reply before writing my own. None the less I seem to have inferred the correct answer....My two suggestions were a satellite dish, or some special industrial piece...and this is indeed a specialized drill bit to be used in this case for the Water Industry...or to be more specific it is a project by Vegas Tunnel Constructors LLC —a joint venture of S.A. Healy Co., Lombard, Ill., and Impreglio S.p.A., Sesto San Giovanni, Italy.
Though, I should most certainly give thanks to Gando for naming the specific project...(and also for use of one of the links he provided, which is where I got the names of the companies involved)

Does anybody else think that there's some problem with "UFO"'s shadow?

I suppose I really need to give up trying to get a discussion going on how we shape our perceptions on a board where the overiding aim appears to be who is right and who is wrong.

Peace

Okay - I have read through the thread and considered the reasons why the item is tilted. I don't think it is taking up too many lanes. I did notice the shadow - not nearly as dark as other shadows in the same photograph. As for military secrecy - I know it's not the same but I was a Police Officer and sometimes escorts are planned and sometimes they are not. When an 'event' happens unexpectedly you perform the same duties without warning.

Okay - I'll throw this into the mix - let's say it is not a satellite dish/similar object. Could it be that the item is damaged - possibly dangerous to transport in what would appear to be a stable position - could leak fuel or other chemical - could fall apart if handled to much - is in a fragile condition and tilted is the safest manner for movement?

Much Peace

I remember a couple of years ago when one of these came through dallas very late at night. On ramps and roads were closed down tight.

Okey, im not a person that likes to laugh AT people...

But really? If this were a REAL UFO you woudn't even have those pictures, and if you were that close, you woudn't be sitting and writing this ''thread''.

You know, this might be a travelling circus?? Ive seen those to! :-O

Sorry but this is the worst UFO thread iv'e ever seen.. Sorry no credits for you..

I am 100 percent certain that is not a drill bit. Those things weigh tons and tons and to put it on the trailer like that would tip it over. My guess is a pre manufactured swimming pool.

That has to be the most shoddy flying saucer transport job I've seen in a while. It made me laugh!

Great credits to the OP for taking a picture and posting it on here. Even if it isn't something alien, the pictures were pretty good.

Swimming pool?
Drill bit?
Paper-mache flying saucer movie set piece?

Place your bets now!
